The quickest way to get the AMA Pro to allow electric with gas is showroom competition. 13,000+ bikes sold is hurting other OEM's. Just as with the 2 stroke 500's and 125's, when they quit selling change happens. KTM Inc. has gone bankrupt. Change is in the air. More full size E-bikes will hit the market soon. Gas bikes have had rebates beyond anything we have seen before, and with the new Beta, Triumph, Ducati and Kove all releasing new gas bikes, the numbers for the legacy OEM/s will continue to go down. Honda is anti E in their automotive division, and the slow play on the prototype MX bike indicates they don't really care, the same way they are the ones killing the 2 stroke resurgence.
The Industry got it all wrong decades ago when the 450/250 rules for 4t's happened, and now is the time to fix the whole abomination. Open class is the answer. For decades the fast riders run similar lap times regardless of being on a 250 or 450. The class system is obsolete, and splits the limited amount of good talent.

Showroom competition will win out every time.
The noise situation is a clear winner too.
Being easier to ride for joe average should increase not just viewer participation(AMA major goal)
but sales as well.
While fishing sometimes you need to wait until the tide goes out.
Hard work and patience will be rewarded.
Making false statements will not be.
