EX Custom iOS/Android App

I tried installing and got a message saying "no compatible device found," I would like to know if it really is compatible before pursuing it further.

Re-read the message. There's more to it. You cannot install this FROM your phone. Must be connected to a computer. This allows us to disable starks app so it doesn't clobber you.
It works on any phone, and so far, it seems to work with all bikes with fw 1.6.0 and up, but i haven't got HARD verification yet from MX1 users. There are a bunch of guys who installed it and connected to the MX1, but I haven't got feedback from them yet.

Thanks for the reply.
I was installing from computer, but evidently the cable was not a data cable.
So I did get it installed but couldn't connect to the bike, even though it said "CONNECTED" in green near the VIN, "CONNECTING" continued flashing in the top corner, and I couldn't access anything on the bike.

Got it. the MX1 must have something different in the firmware. Could be an entirely different firmware. What year/model is your bike and what firmware is already installed? I know some guys are one super old firmware and VP requires I think 1.6.0 and up. Any feedback much appreciated. I'd love to get full coverage for all bikes.

also, what email did you use for the install? i can check what we got in the install logs which might be helpful.
