    EXR (Better) Headlight thread.

I would guess that in the grand scheme of things it would make a very minimal impact on range. That’s just my semi-educated guess.

    EXR (Better) Headlight thread.

I think @MotoMinded makes a LED light for the Alta mask, I might be wrong about that. If the KTM's larger light has better overall optics than I'd say maybe that would be your best bet. Also, to the best of my knowledge the Alta light is a Polisport Halo. Polisport also makes an LED Halo...

Alta Redshift MXR and MX on a Dyno - Riding Maps Demystified

I would disagree with the idea that map 4 will get you much less range. It's all about that right wrist. Sure, if you go around blowing off the rear tire the whole time then yes. I have been using map 4 pretty much exclusively at this point. Precisely!

New graphics on the Alta MXR

Looks good! I’m also one of the few who actually liked the yellow (orange’ish, gold, whatever) plastic. White is one of my least favorite plastic colors second only to Yamaha blue. Oh well.

Did you keep your old bike?

I’d bet the Alta would do pretty good as a snow bike... for about 15-20 minutes!

    MXoN

Tomac can’t start, and you can’t have bad starts and run with those guys. Barcia rode pretty good, I heard he claimed to have had a mild mechanical in his second race which might explain his fade. Plessinger I thought would have done better in those conditions. He claims to have taken taken a...

    MXoN

I was watching one of the pre-race shows and there was this one guy who got on camera with his "ya'll mother&%$@ers need 2-strokes" hat. Made me laugh.

    Best Alta Generator

I'm in a similar situation with my Onan 4k. 30a 120v. Bummer because they are top notch generators. If you find yourself in a park with hookups and they have the 50 amp plug on the panel as well it's like hitting the jackpot.

Did you keep your old bike?

At risk of offending our Alta friends who also own 2t's I will totally agree! I let a friend ride the MXR once at the track and he let me take his new Husky 2t... the idea of getting another 2 stroke for nostalgia quickly left me.

    Compatible with Charging Stations?

I don't believe the EXR price includes a charger, or at least I don't think it's supposed to. If I'm correct and they want to give you a standard charger in at the same price than maybe just don't ask questions and take it and get the 3.3kW charger as well. The EX's original price included the...

Did you keep your old bike?

I kept mine, but I find that I only want to ride the Alta anyways. If you don't see range as an issue, than I'd let it go.

    Compatible with Charging Stations?

This is a common area of confusion... there are two chargers, the original Alta charger (2.7kW) and the what is referred to (and somewhat misleading) "rapid" 3.3kW charger that was designed for the R pack bikes (MXR, EXR). They BOTH charge on either 120v or 240v. The 2.7kW comes with a 120v...

    Compatible with Charging Stations?

Big boxy charger to charge on 120v unfortunately.

    2019 EXR. Hello. I'm Ben and . . .

There is one point you should be clear on going in. I know on the EX's the price had included the regular/standard 2.7kW charger, but I'm not sure what the situation is on the EXR. If you get an EXR, you want the 3.3kW (rapid) charger. There has been some dealer confusion where they are...
