I largely agree with Tony's comments above. Alta built a great bike. But it was largely built with off the shelf components, top quality though they were. That may or not have been their vision, but that was the result! :) Very little was actually proprietary to Alta. Electric Motor...

Firmware update performed at dealer. Includes charger and 110volt pigtail adapter. Ox-Yoke Left front brake lever and cable installed for rear brake. Foot brake still functional of course. No damage history at all, and LESS than 200 miles. Located in Dallas. Griffbl@me.com Thanks! Brad

We Don't KNOW that, as you correctly point out. The chance of a major company, however, buying them is uber slim, IMHO. Simply not much proprietary technology there vs. what is available to all. Tesla will have the same problem (inability to sell to another manufacturer) someday (again, IMHO...

My dealer (not Alta, but Husky) procured the correct kit. The model they used was compatible with most newer KTM's and Husky's .....The critical part is the rear Hydraulic cylinder, (which I think for Alta as KTM and Husky) as that is where the cable guide is secured. The aluminum piece that...

If you ride more on the street, go Zero....has passenger pegs, lower seat height, street friendlier tires. If you are mostly off road, and anything hard core, go Alta. If you ride your Alta on the street some as do I, go with a less aggressive rear tire when the OEM one wears out. My two cents!

Thanks so much! I have not seen those....they look a bit better for occasional use to me than the Crossplus pegs...and they are less money also!
