Update Gen 2 fail and now motorcycle is dead

Exactly right. On your last point I wish they would update documentation with software/firmware behavior changes associated with updates and fixes. It hard to find this stuff. And YouTube or TikTok videos are not enough for a top grade platform. Almost all software companies have release...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Agreed. They don't even have good communication among service/parts themselves. Some know they have a new design others don't. Also, they must have some newbs working there because when I complained about getting sent the wrong bolt twice he/she accused me of trying to get free bolts and that...

Questions: Track & Trail set-up. Charging & Transport.

Yes and most folks not riding moto aren't using the Stark with Taddy Blazusiak skills. A lot depends on how you ride the bike. In slow tough gnarl riding the Stark will usually outlast most rider's endurance. Long desert riding or big loop mileage might be different though.

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Unhappy to report that Stark sent me the old style for a second time. I complained originally and they said the would send the correct one. The "correct" one arrived and was wrong again.

    Magenta light of death

Well since they diagnosed it as the battery maybe they have a diag that indicates that. But personally when I have had problems similar to that I start with the power switch itself. It is simple and easy to replace and has been known to be flakey especially when dirt, water, or mud get in it...

Do you switch maps while riding? I do.

I'd like the bike to roll even better when I push it (like neutral):muutt:. I haven't been stranded on a track because I ride enduro but pushing a Stark out of the woods after a crash or break down is awful. And I can't imagine it makes it any easier if you are on the other side of the track...

Do you switch maps while riding? I do.

IMHO I think they should continue to progress with even better throttle control. A clutch means some of your strength and control has to be removed from the bars to modulate power & etc. They have brought the tech this far, fly-by-wire works effectively for dirtbikes, I am simply beyond...

    Varg footpegs and boots.

I like Gaerne SGs for durability and comfort. They are expensive and heavy but hold up much better than the lighter less expensive Foxes and ASs IMHO. SG-10s start at around 400.00 SG-12s are around 450.00 and SG-22s will run over 600.00. There are some lesser models but SG-10s get the job...

    Deals on Starks?

I think Stark sales in the US are being impacted by the more general decline and slowing of E adoption in the US. If they can lower the prices it will help adoption, plus for right now, Stark can probably avoid the tariffs, taxes, and government regulations designed to thwart other imports. So...

    Deals on Starks?

Ya that's a great deal. With all the benefits the Stark brings at that kind of price it will bring over more regular ICE riders. The margins on Starks are probably pretty good, and if they outsourced it to Asia, they could probably cut even more off the price. A Varg at 8k would be a slam dunk...

    Deals on Starks?

Probably overstock from bikes that were ordered and didn't make final delivery. I got mine from a dealer prepped and ready to ride for 13k otd. It was trouble free (well not including those stupid tire tubes :ricky:), I didn't have to assemble anything, the dealer took care of some paperwork...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Yes but Stark has a new design. Some folks have already got them and they comply with warranty. Which I am not sure that Amazon one does.

    Indoor soft cover.

Haven't seen anything. The aftermarket is still growing. Maybe something for KTM would work in the interim?

    Stark Suggestions

Kill switch/button decoupled from the power control switch software. I think this would be good as the bike moves into more trail riding/enduro riding situations. Relying on the power control switch in a stuck throttle situation and other loss of control situations could be dicey. The power...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

Hi All, Happy to report Stark got back to me and said sorry it was a mistake and that they would send me the update bolt... Very happy with their fast service.:ricky:

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

@Foss FYI I followed up with Stark sent them the picture of the new bolt and said that was what I wanted. And they said their site had not been update with the new pic and I would get the new one. Bolt came today and sure as shit it was the old one. Glad I only ordered 1. Resent another mail...

    stark varg leg grips

Ok fair enough. I was mostly responding to the compare with the Husky 300 which is a different class of bike. In terms of MX I hear you and I guess it depends on individual technique and where the width is. Kawi is not exactly a fat bike either. Roczen seems to love a narrow bike that carves...

    stark varg leg grips

You are comparing two different types of bike. The Stark is an MX bike, the Husky is an enduro/trail bike. Narrow corner carving sliding up to the tank ripping it, is the way the Stark is designed. On most MX forums you will see that most MX'ers want a narrow bike. Yamaha has gone to great...
