Anything that needs to be machined I can make happen. I have access to CAD/CAM and CNC Machines. I'm not a huge fan of putting a block of aluminum right where my face might hit though. I would rather figure out some way to relocate it.
Do you have any hypothesis as to the differences between the R and A battery pack?
I know the cells are different, but do you suppose there are any other physical differences between the two?
Always double check your triple clamp bolts, kids. This happened 4 days before my biggest race of the season, and the Alta folks were kind enough to overnight new ones to Canada for me.
People like this are what made (make?) Alta such a great company. Thanks Datadog for still helping us owners, even when it's no longer your job to do so.
I got a replacement a while back, and I think the dealer had to go through a special process. I believe it's more than just a display, and data from the old one needs to be synced to the new one.
