Just Purchased my first Alta redshift

That's almost nothing for an electric bike. On a gas bike you'd be doing the valves and the top end by now, LOL.

XEMX Custom Electric Dirtbikes & Kits

LOL! This is an awesome picture, if you want to "throw a rock" at Stark! Is there already, or can you add such a thing as a "virtual flywheel" into your controller software? Also, how does the rotational inertia of the axial flux motor compare to the inertia of the gas bikes? Is it like a 250...

XEMX Custom Electric Dirtbikes & Kits

I am excited about this: https://xemx1.com/collections/parts/products/motor-only-no-battery "The XE4 is a liquid-cooled axial flux motor developed by XEMX. The XE4 is the magic sauce responsible for the unique feel to the power delivery of an XEMX dirtbike—feeling most similar to that of...

Hill Hold -- Stark, please make it Optional

That's a great idea. I cannot think of a case when preventing the bike from rolling uphill is necessary. And I would still like to be able to turn this option off. I can usually hold the bike on the ramp/slope with the throttle just fine.

TAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alpha Now only $10,900 OTD

The key is to stay profitable and not run out of cash. This is what happened to Alta. I remember how angry @Mark911 got when Alta introduced the MXR for just $12K and simultaneusly dropped the price of his MX from $15K to $10K overnight. Eventually, he was right though. Alta tried to expand too...

TAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alpha Now only $10,900 OTD

Stark dropped the price of their replacement/spare battery alone by almost $3,000. That's awesome.

TAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alpha Now only $10,900 OTD

Haha! About six month ago Tesla owners around the world were just as upset as you are right now. Elon Musk dropped the prices so much that owners and recent buyers in China stormed Tesla dealerships there in protest! But... @FreedomFlyer, why are you buying a dirt bike on credit? There is no...

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

Teslas are still more than 50% of the EVs on the roads today. I am sticking with Teslas for now. But Elon is not allowing V2G yet, calling it "inconvenient". Maybe in 2025 (in Elon's years) we will have V2G and autonomous robotaxis.

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

It should be possible. Someone just needs to add the proper CAN communication. The Stark's 400V rating is almost the industry standard. The bike's battery is about 10 times smaller a car battery, but a low-current control should not be an issue because H-D bikes can use J1772 chargers just...

Thank you, @fsfs, this is perfect. Could someone please count the number of teeth in the Varg's primary gear reduction?

    General Honda E - Trials

I think this whiney engine noise is loud on purpose. Without this noise, there is no way to tell how much kinetic energy the virtual/physical flywheel has before the rider releases the clutch. This trial bike has the virtual or physical clutch, definitely the virtual or physical gears, and even...

    General Poll, response appreciated

This was obvious back in ~2018 when Josh Hill battled Ricky Carmichael in Paris. Josh's bike went teeter-totter in the whoops, every single lap. I later experienced this myself. My Alta could never do the whoops well. It was much easier to jump the whoops than to skim them. The reason, I think...

    General Poll, response appreciated

Traction control on a Surron is okay, but if you decide to add Wheelie Control to your inverter, I will buy myself a Surron and beg you to sign me up as a test rider! :-) Then I could work on traction control as well if the bike has enough power to break traction. Paul S. mentioned to me...
