While the 2200i genset certainly meets the sound requirement, 2 in parallel do not put out 240V. Read about generator sizing in my build thread. I go into a little detail on noise (dB), THD, and running watts. (my 3 requirements).

In your case Matt, the answer was in the questions asked section of the link provided. Most of the time you have to call the mfg. They do not want to publish such "dirty" information.

Personally, I do not think the "perfect" gen set for our Alta's have been manufactured yet. May never be. I believe Alta's fast chargers need a low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). I have seen posts where some peeps are having problems charging from some generators. If I had to make a guess...

Have not received it yet, but it is payed for!

Keep in mind my MXR is not here yet. Next week I believe... If Kreft is that far off on spring rates @180#, can they be trusted for the rest of their recommendations? I am looking for good (the best?) suspension for my MXR. Kreft was in the running...

I do not have my fast charger yet, so If the above figures are correct, It will take 3960 running watts. A 4K gen set wont do it with 20% head room. IMHO YMMV 240V@ 3,300 watts= 13.75 amps 3300 watts + 20% (660) = 3960 running watts, not surge. I see another post by Bloak stating he is...

Thanks for the link strider! I think at this time I will use my Generac (if it is clean enough), and look to pick up a used 240V number from Yamaha or Honda used.
