I meant I wanted DC charging actually. Less charge time doesn't have to correlate with weight, it can relate to charging technology.

That Ego battery is nearly twice the size so it does look reasonable that you'd be ready to hit the trails again in about 15 minutes. Want.

The SM is super fun but if you actually are buying it to race I think an MXR with supermoto wheels may make more sense. The SM heats up and cuts power at prolonged race pace. Not an issue on the street but a deal breaker if you want to race it. Plus you would want to remove the super...

Parts can be machined, finagled, etc., but what really disappoints me is no open sourcing of the software now that the company has folded. Literally all they had to do was upload a git repo to github, would have taken 5 minutes, and we would have had some hope of maintaining our bikes ourselves...
