You can still get parts like the shrouds (Alta doesn’t have radiators, though) from Liquid Performance. There are some parts that are getting rare, like right-side number plates, but most things are still available or fixable.

It is not a regular practice, no. Never had a need to before. Of course, this was only 15 minutes into riding, so I certainly wouldn’t have done it that soon anyway. I have the Motion Pro micro bleeders on my MXR, but not on my son’s MX.

That “Alta Gas” only has 05 volts. Must be the crappy low-grade stuff. You should have splurged for the premium 350v kind. Premium Alta Gas (with patented Elechtron additives!) prevents knock and keeps your engine running clean!

Too bad you just missed out on one in Danville a couple weeks ago. But keep looking. One will show up eventually. I would recommend being open to looking farther afield, and being willing to drive or ship the bike though. Check the forum here, eBay, CycleTrader, Craigslist (searchtempest), etc.
