AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

No idea but I think it's up to the organizers to add them in supplemental rules, just like electrics have been legal to race in AMA Endurocross for years. Though they probably need AMA approval for their supplemental rules to stay out of trouble. BTW I have just found out interesting documents...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Sorry to nitpick, just to say that FIM stands for Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (International Motorcycling Federation), it's the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing represents 119 national motorcycle federations...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

This interview is interesting, it's a balancing act between keeping the OEM immediate interests at heart and acknowledging that electrics are the future of the sport. When he says that something will happen with electrics and supercross in the near future, while stating that he doesn't want...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

I share your feelings about this and kudos to motorcycle Australia. No need to make excuses for FIM, they did not bother to provide a single explanation for the last minute change of rules excluding electrics from FIM super enduro. Also FIM does not represent Europe, it (is supposed to)...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Yes, Thomas Do had already mentioned it, guys on Vital showed the schematics, it's likely that for AX 8 min races, Stark removes 100 cells out of the 400 Molicel INR-21700-P45B so the bike is 7 kg lighter and they don't care about losing 25% range in this case (and they can only use 60 hp...

Monthly update from Stark https://www.instagram.com/reel/C17VNvnoi1f/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Over 1 000 bikes a month is seriously impressive, and that makes it officially at least 2 879 bikes made in the last 4 months of 2023. I wonder if they will keep making and selling that much...

This vid is awesome, I like Justin and kudos to him for going racing there, but it was super interesting to hear the organizer point of view for electric racing. Just that they're thinking/dreaming about racing in Hyde Park that would definitely be insane for the sport.

Yeah I've put up Stark Instagram post on the first page of this thread then mentioned these 10 states again a couple of posts above but if you missed it you might as well watch the source (spoiler alert: Idaho is not one of the 10 states still affected by this issue so hopefully no more delay...

    Dealership delivery

Hell yeah that would frustrate anyone! In my opinion they have been amazing on the production side of things, and delivering a great bike if hundreds of reviews are to be trusted, they got some real distribution issues, particularly in the US, and sucked completely at communicating with...

    Dealership delivery

They have had big distribution issues in the US, and have outstanding issues in 10 US states where they can't currently deliver (having been able to deliver early before getting into some legal issues), they've been bad at communicating with their customers, and this situation sucks for...

From October Stark has been giving monthly production updates on their Instagram feed. Sept 2023: 500 Oct 2023: 520 Nov 2023: >800 (daily record 69) That's over 1 800 bikes produced in 3 months, to put things into perspective that's not far from Alta total 3 years production (believed to be...

    Stark Map Recommendations

I can't really answer your question though that will not prevent me from posting 😁 From what I've seen the majority of orders seem to be 80 hp so I would expect it to be easier to resell later. Also some experienced riders (pro but amateurs as well) reported using 80 hp in the sand so it can be...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Stark made a nice bittersweet video of their FIM super enduro adventure so far. This shows well that Stark did jump through all the hoops just for the FIM to pull the rug from under them at the last minute. Good to see they are making more noise about this, it cannot make things worse for them...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

You make some good points but Stark not making an Enduro version cannot explain the FIM decision, they knew from the start that there is no Enduro version yet (Taddy is helping developing it), they have authorized the Varg then rescinded their authorization less than 24h before the first race...

As the Stark mail posted by F451 says, they still have regulatory hurdles to clear in 10 US states: California, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. They had been able to do some early delivery in these states but then had to stop...
