Owner's Review Varg EX suspension. Did you go Hard or Mid?

The only difference is the springs wich are not expensive and easy enough to replace. Wouldn't bother too much. And way to heavy... it is 12lbs heavier than a fuelled 300 Enduro, so no bike will do i guess. Yes i weighed that myself. How far/long are those hare scrambles, at what pace and what...

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

Can't say you're wrong either. I would have loved anything in the 4.00 to 4.50 range better. But well, cheapness won and i figured i could always sell them. Since a beat up set of repainted and dented SM rims for a KTM go for nearly €1000 here in the Netherlands i guessed selling after it...

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

I paid 598 for the 2 with extra 15% discount. But your point holds, well under half the price instead of 1/3rd ;) Off course the Haan and Excel wheels are probably better, but good enough does the trick for me and that pricegap is 15 entree tickets for track days.

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

Those wheels are 3x the price of mine. I would have prevered 4.25 or 4.50 anyways, but the only size available from this brand was 5.00. @Theo This ''build'' is on a tad lower budget than Starks that will be fully build for SM only. This bike for me is a Sand MX bike first, then an Enduro and...

The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

Ordered a Twenty set at 24MX for a '22 KTM EXC 300. Comes with a multitude of spaces of wich for front and rear there is a fitting set. However L and R (Left and Right) is on the spacers and that's the other way around. I used the 160 and 120 wide Conti Attack SM2 and they are a very tight fit...

    EX navigation for free.

I think the other way around. The nav costs data do it costs Stark money. The power curves do not.

    Portable charger

I think you're right. But might be cool if somehow they forgot about that.

    Portable charger

Wonder what happens if you decide to make a charger that doesn't listen to whatever the bike is telling. Would the bike shut-off charging or will it then just take what the charger offers. If so than going for some fatter connector and cables might be all you need for extra fast charging.

    Portable charger

Does anyone know where the Stark adjust the charging? Is it in the bike itself or is it communicated to the charger? In the first case life should be much easier.

    new ex

Does it repond to the handlebar switches? My first thought is the throttle cable not properly connected.

    Battery cooling during charging

Good thing that its main usecase with me is Sand MX, second Sand Enduro and third SM. I can't see any temperatures apart from what my camera can see on the outside .However the motor and inverter are liquid cooled. While charging the pump and blower are on so my guess is that the battery, wich...

    Battery cooling during charging

Guestion for those more into battery tech. During sessions on the local SM track i can feel that 80 hp on the straight isn't 80 hp anymore after some sessions. The track day is 20-30 min riding, 30-40 minutes full power charging and that for a couple of times. Around the 2nd or 3rd session you...

Electric motocross survey: questions for Stark Varg riders

I would take up to 10kg heavier for extra range.

Electric motocross survey: questions for Stark Varg riders

I take it you're familiar with the Dutch OTR season? I would love to do that on the Stark, however my MX is not street legal and the EX would maybe do it. However with the charge time as is its a bit of a stretch. Were the battery swappable enough (kinda is) AND the battery be chargeable...

    Charging rate 2.7 or 3.3 ?

That's one thing Zero did nail. You could buy adapters so you could add additional chargers. Still very slow, but the idea was right. If Stark were to do that as an option they could sell another charger, adapter and charge port. Neglecting some of that the bike is too good to require spare...

    Is Stark testing an ADV/Dakar?

I did ride the normal version. Very good bike. Not as performance focussed as the Stark, but for exploring the area around Barcelona (been there Enduro riding a couple of times) it's a very good bike. Could be a customer that prepped its own bike?

    Maybe this bike?

    Is Stark testing an ADV/Dakar?

Did it look a bit like this? Royal Enfield presented this a time ago. The Stark motor with a dual Stark battery (roughly 14.4kWh) would actually be useful in Europe. IF it has fast charging.

    Charging rate 2.7 or 3.3 ?

No problems here. At home i charge it at low speed, but between motos at full. The reason being at lower speed there are a tadd less losses and less change of blowing a fuse in the house. We have 16A 230. But it's not the only consumer plugged in. If the battery is near the same quality as cars...
