Long Way Up series is out

It is worth mentioning that it is okay to be an Apple hater and still enjoy Long Way Up. You can watch Apple TV+ on a Windows computer in your browser. Use an HDMI cable to watch on a large TV screen, or use the Chrome browser to broadcast to your Chromecast.

Long Way Up series is out

It is captivating. I wished all three episodes in one day, LOL! They will be releasing one new episode per week after this.

Long Way Up series is out

I haven't seen the earlier announced diesel truck carrying a huge diesel generator yet. Have they been able to get by without it? I am drooling over their Sprinter van with a big-ass solar panel that tilts and also doubles as an awning. That was my idea!!!

    Compression and Rebound

Tuning the 4CS forks is tough. In order to make them soak in loose rocks, the high-speed compression has to be very low, very diggressive. You can't change the high-speed damping with clickers, you have to revalve it. Loosening the rebound might help. But, as I remember, the stock 4CS already...

Battery Bank to charge the Alta

Charging at 2kW from 110V makes little difference at the track when you have just a half an hour to charge. You really need the Rapid charger running at 240V and pulling 16A, so that is almost 4kW.

Battery Bank to charge the Alta

For $1K and 80 lbs each I would buy five of those. Two to charge my Altas and three to add an electric rear drive to my ProMaster.

Battery Bank to charge the Alta

I think you can rename your own thread, can't you? Yes, the title wasn't as exciting as what you are describing.

Battery Bank to charge the Alta

We want to encourage people and businesses to create products for us. I see no issues with this.

Battery Bank to charge the Alta

I would like to have this thing for $1,000, but the price and the weight seems too good to be true. A more realistic price would be around $5,000.

MXR suspension setup for 200lb rider

I am currently in the process of working with RaceTech to attain what TCMB371 has. The customer service is horrible. No easy way to get a knowledgeable person on the phone, and they don't return phone calls. I am about to send the suspension back and request my money back, but I think I will try...

    The Storm Bee is out!

The battery is 4.3 kWh. For an average rider it should be good enough for about 25 minutes at a MX track. Gotta buy spare batteries if you want to ride all day! Is it possible to charge the battery without the bike?

MXR suspension setup for 200lb rider

@otbnc -- Congrats on a great purchase! Coming to 2 wheels from 4 wheels is tough! I hope you are good at least at riding bicycles. I remember my auto racing crazy friend went mountain biking with us for the first time. He knew how to ride a bicycle before... or so he thought. He crashed like 5...

    Storm Bee

I also hope Sur Run succeeds in all their undertakings. But it seems that by choosing this path, they have put themselves into the Zero's category, not Alta's. Play riding instead of competing with and replacing gas bikes.

    Storm Bee

The battery pack is 4.3 kWh compared to the Alta's 5.8 kWh. Yet, they are claiming a 65-mile range, although only at 30 mph. The battery pack weighs 65 lbs, compared to the Alta's 73 lbs. It appears to be quickly swappable though, so maybe someone figures out a way to take a spare battery on a...

    Storm Bee

Storm Bee MX: 30 hp and 273 lbs. With a no-name 47mm suspension and no-name brakes it would likely take a lot of effort to make it rideable and jumpable on a MX track. I hope it is cheap.
