Newb here -- Making a charging adapter

You do sound like a newb when you ask electrical questions. That's okay, many of us were where you are. Everyone in-the-know hesitates to help electrical newbies, not wanting to be responsible for them burning their bikes, houses, or killing themselves. We would much rather have you alive on...

    OX-Hydra brake LHRB

That applies only when you do not install the Clake insert seal correctly. But if you install it correctly then there is no problem. And it does not apply to the OX-Hydra LHRB because it applies not a hydraulic but mechanical pressure on the rear master cylinder piston, just like the stock...

    OX-Hydra brake LHRB

Interesting. It might work. I see the attractiveness of an independent hydraulic system, especially for the ease of installation. I just do not like the bicycle master cylinder and the thin hydraulic line.

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

Well... I have the solution then. Get off the bike first, then deploy the kickstand second. Adjust the kickstand's length and/or the rear spring preload to adjust the lean angle to your liking.

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

How about getting off the bike first and deploying the kickstand while not sitting on the bike compression the overly soft suspension? I am trying to solve the problem, but I am not seeing a problem here. Why does shortening the kickstand make the situation worse?

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

I am trying to wrap my head around this. What do you mean by "overcenter" ? Do you mean that the suspension shouldn't extend when the bike is leaned to the left? The CG height on Altas is actually much lower than on other dirt bikes. So the CG height is not it. Have you owned any other...

    A budget steering stabilizer

Good point. I forgot to mention that the guy who owns thi Rad Wagon was very excited about his bike and was offering free rides to anyone who wanted to try it. This thing is pretty cheap for an e-bike too at slightly over $1K.

    Should I buy a 2019 Alta EXR

This is an excellent point. Alta spent $70M to build 1000 bikes. These are $70,000 dollar bikes. No bike manufacturer has yet shown a serious intention to produce anything similar. Once they do, which can happen 5-10 years from now, the prices will probably be close to $15K per bike. The...

    Beautiful blue-green eyes

Just the headlights. Wrapping the whole van is possible but probably expensive and time consuming. A plain white van works for me just fine. Although I am planning to wrap the hood in white vinyl to minimize stone chips and add some thick black vinyl around the perimeter of the windshield to...

    Beautiful blue-green eyes

Just saw a gray Ford sedan that caught my attention. It had the most beautiful blue-green "eyes" that I have ever seen: I talked to the owner. He said it"s the Chameleon headlight tint that he bought on eBay. I think I am goin to try it on my motovan.

    Tesla Powerwall charging trailer

I considered the Powerwall for my van. Even put down a deposit. But the local distributor/installer refused to cooperate. Also, the wait was longer than 6 months. Else, I would have probably had a Powerwall in my van now. It could easily go flat on the floor under the motorcycles, or even under...

Testing out the GoPro with the Alta

It surely is picking up a bunch or random noises and static, even if you are standing still. It doesn't sound right. The old GoPros did not require any noise reducing gadgets. Although they used to come in clear protective cases (not sure how they could "hear" though the case, but they did)...

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

I do not understand what all the issues are with the length of the kickstand. If it is too long -- pull the plastic foot and cut the tube shorter. If it is too short -- pull the plastic foot and add a spacer under it.

Sur-Ron Boom Bee (Storm Bee) electric motorcycle spy photo's soon released

Cool. I thought maybe you could relay to Sur-Ron that the bike needs more power and a brand-name suspension that comes on other motocross bikes.
