Perhaps the question should be posed differently. An ICE bike can be filled with gas, but would the rules allow for switching out the empty gas tank?

I guess not then, everyone's still using the original charger. On the Stark site they sell a new charger for 800USD. It would be nice if I could get a generic charger that I could leave someone else for a better price.

Not sure I understand what you mean sorry mate.

The bearings ID's could not be the same if different axles. If you're right that the hubs are the same then the bearing OD's should be too.

This is what makes me want more standardisation in the industry. Why do bike manufacturers feel the need to change axle size so often.

My guess is they have 2-3000 bikes ready for shipment, just waiting on some part that got delayed. If Spain, france, Norway and the UK all have the same march 13th expected delivery date.

I would bet my house that they have more than 40 bikes built for a particular destination. They are just not sending that shipping container yet for any of the above reasons or others.

But this is inventory paid in full already. They are not losing sales by not shipping it.

I have a feeling that those with VIN's might have already had their bike completed and Stark are just building and stockpiling bikes to send as many out at once. Or there is a design or supply chain issue for minor details of the bike that's forcing them to wait before shipment. I cant imagine...

Seems like the first batch will be 13th of March for most EU destinations from the little snippets of info I've seen so far, my own update email included. (I was pushed back after paying, and now pushed up)

I also got an email last night saying my bike has entered production. They actually moved my expected delivery date up to mid march. It was early Feb when I ordered, got pushed back to early april when I paid in full, and now had landed in the middle of those dates. Still no VIN yet though.

Stark offered me a cheaper MX and said the deposit i put down could be given as credit for parts once a purchase had been made. Now that I paid for the EX, the have honoured this and given me credit for whenever I need to order parts.

I'm excited for you mate. Less than 3 weeks away now. Let me know what sort of paperwork they send with it, if Stark helps at all with the registration process or anything. Wonder if they will send paper manuals (unlikely) or if they will just update their website to include EX specifics there.
