What is the torque constant on that QS motor? The ME1304 I run on the YZ450A is around .13Nm/A - it is barely enough with a 10/66.

The ME1616 and ME1507 have the same interenals, same torque constant as far as I understand. The ME1507 isn't quite as bit or heavy as the ME1616 and would allow me to use a more normal reduction 11/60? instead of 10/66. I haven't run my bike against an Alta, the only bike I'm interested in...

Trying to run two controllers you are just setting yourself up for torture - which some people enjoy so to each his own! I bought mine from digikey for I believe $375.

I'd recommend a Sevcon g4 s6, in my experience Kelly controllers are garbage and if they work at all half power is all they can muster. Programming a sevcon isn't any more difficult than a Kelly you simply have to bend over and buy the ixxat CAN-usb adapter. I am seeing 450A from the battery...

I've had several Kelly 8080 96601 controllers that functioned for a short period of time before failing. I only ever saw maybe half of peak power, I've used some of their brushed controllers and like their "HPM" which have electronic reversing but now they discontinued... I am using Sevcon...

This is the first one I've seen using a gearset off the ME1304 motor, cool!! Significant reduction is whats needed to really make that motor come alive (that or a 10/66 sprocket combo). Clean work and it appears to function well, nice job!
