Update. Ill be out of the US for a week, have two orders going out tomorrow morning and will be re-operational after labor day. Could be doable. Have to break out the head strap for the gopro or do what all Motovloggers do with there helmets....

Unfortunately unfeasible. Its not your traditional wire and you can just use a welder/soldering iron. Also this is being done on modules that are energized...any accidental discharge is no bueno/can occur.

Having the correct fixture, wire and also weld point is key. If its failed a bond before, it will possibly fail again if not welded correctly. We never reused bad modules if they had been reworked too many times.

+1 to @datadog. I understand everyone may have a background in electronics/engineering/computers and feels confident to tear apart the pack to fix an issue. But its no joke and its not fun to get zapped/hurt. Code 35/36 bikes will end up having more issues with the pack in the long term.

Grips are Renthal grips. If you need the reflector and turn signal (common on alot of bikes but its terminated specfically for the Alta harness), shoot me a PM. I have those parts available.

Theres FW out there (SM basically) to enable OBC charging. But it also includes map changes. There were some OBCs for sale at SF BMW a few weeks back.

Multitool is needed to check FW and see any internal error codes. When your MXR was purchased was it up to date?

The aftermarket chainslider made by Hotfoot Moto are pretty decent replacements. The Alta based ones were okayish, they have a tendency to break and wear prematurely.

You do not need to sync the bike/FW update the vehicle. All you need to do is open up the display case (be careful its slightly expoxied up). Then pry on the board as it was glued to the case. Once free you can desolder the 4 pins which are wired to the display. 12V - Red GND - Black Can_LO -...

Ah...this is what I thought you had for the 240V side...which is what we used in the US. Theres a few links on the forum about the wiring of said connector.

Your bike is on the latest FW for the SM. It has had the 240V charging option for awhile. If the cable is built right, the OBC should not go boom. The OBC is smart enough not cause that to happen.
