I like the McMaster inserts too. If they ever come loose they will not fall out right away. Also, when removing, they will either unscrew themselves or screw themselves in tighter, depending on which side the screw is coming from. Screwy business!

I like them! The knurls are much more defined too.

I can also attest that riding without shrouds at all feels so awesome that I did not want to re-install any shrouds back. I think a good set of decals to protect the aluminum is all that is needed.

Plastic injection molding is only cheap if you make parts in large quantities. For the 50 - 100 guys who will buy them carbon fiber could be cheaper.

I've just re-read your for sale ad. Have you even ridden your bike at all? Go ride it, trail riding first, if needed. Then maybe a motocross track. Give it a try, it's extremely addictive.

I am a big fan of these Retractable Ratcheting Tie-Down staps. I have two in my van -- one to hold each of the two bikes' rear wheels. You might need just one, depending on how you install it.
