An anonymous source on this forum texted me that he heard that BRP (Can-Am) was going to purchase Alta but the deal fell apart in the 11th hour.

I'd wait for Monday to know what's going on with Alta. Then either call the dealer or take it apart and see who makes that charger, if there is a name or part numbers inside.

It is good that it is not the bike. The message on the dash means that it is not getting a signal or current from the charger.

I hope they do keep the Alta brand. I only like orange in my food or drinks. I bought a Husky because it was not orange. Still hated the WP suspension, so the white color change did not make much of a difference after all... Thinking about it, I did not like the Alta's WP suspension either...

Looks like a direct drive motor with a tiny sprocket coaxial with the swing arm's pivot. Small wheels, a huge rear sprocket, and you can get away without a 3.5x reduction gear. The guy says it has 45kW (60hp) but the subtitles and the comments say 50kW. This is 67hp. Damn.

That's the company that owns KTM. And Husaberg. And Husqvarna. They killed Husaberg, and folks are still mad at them for that. Hope they do not rebadge Altas as KTMs and paint them orange.
