I recently came across this amazing tethered drone footage through the trees. Was blown away how well it does. One of the reasons I've not gotten one yet, I didn't think they would work too good on a trail ride. Not to mention the expense plus I need another time consuming hobby like a hole in...
Curb weight 97 KG + battery weight 29 KG = Porker.
126 KG / 278 lbs: They're going the wrong way.
And I guess the KYB suspension info was inaccurate which is probably not surprising anyone.
Still looking forward to seeing how it does out on the tracks and trails. I hope it does good and...
If you install the KTM triple clamps (+ KTM axle + KTM front wheel) you would have a variety of Scotts stabilizer mount options, but you would still need to figure the post mount setup. I can't remember if anyone here has figured out the post mount setup yet.
One of these days I'm going to...
That doesn't sound like it would be too hard to do, use some heavy duty 2 part epoxy.
And I thought I read somewhere here that someone used a KTM subframe and seat and that front of the KTM seat mounts matched up with the Alta mounts. Does anyone else recall that or am I imagining it?
Stupid Alta test ride...I knew better, Lol. 10 minute ride and I'm ruined. First world problems for sure, its all good, etc, etc, etc (I keep telling myself).
This is really a conundrum for me (how often do you get to use that word, Lol). My Alta doesn't have the range for the types of rides I like to do, and ICE bikes aren't enjoyable now for the types of rides I like to do.
I waited a long time before buying the Husky and was really fired up to get...
North Fork Rd always delivers on the scenery.
The end of the road, at the top of the jeep trail spur. Nice place for a quiet break before the mosquitoes start in on ya.
Back side of Mt. Si.
Mt Si, aka Twin Peaks.
Across the street, the horses were enjoying the evening too.
Back...
Recently bought a really nice '16 Husqvarna FE 350 and after putting on my usual tall guy stuff (tall seat, bar risers, low pegs) I took it out for a 70 or so mile dual sport ride last night. It was a beautiful summer evening here in the PacNW, perfect for cruising along the forest roads. Rode...
Was going to post this same info. I would go with whatever the locals are running. Slaven's advice is fantastic, knows his stuff, tells it like it is. His videos are a great resource for all kinds of moto info:

I'm currently running the Shinko 216 Fatty up front and the Shinko 525 in...
I've always thought the Alta would make an awesome flat track machine, the massive torque at all times combined with the very precise throttle control, sounds like a super fun setup.
What I’d really like is an updated Astro/Safari AWD sized van. I just need it big enough for a dirt bike and some supplies. Room for a cot inside after unloading the bike. I’d be in heaven.
They have a bunch over in Europe.
Same, Lol. I've been trying to convince myself that I can be happy with a Transit passenger (low roof, normal length) van as my daily driver instead of my current F150, but I'm not sure I'd be happy with a van as a daily driver. This onboard generator setup sounds sweet though so I may have to...
