Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

The probability of having 2 duds in a row (as happened to Chris with batteries) should be extremely low unless there are significant quality control issues. Another question is how can a battery fail right away without being detected as faulty at the factory? I should state I'm a big fan of...

If battery and powertrain failures do happen very early, this could alleviate anxiety about "what happens after warranty expires". Recent issues clearly points out persistent QC issues. It will be interesting to see if Stark has resolved battery issues for the Varg EX (unsure if inverter and...

I gotta say I'm impressed with the way you're handling this! Just to clarify is your VIN in the 4 hundreds or 4 thousands and do you have any idea how many hours you clocked on the 2nd battery before having issues with it?

    Got it, thanks 👍

Is it possible to add electrical accessories to a Starg Varg?

I'm curious about the comparison of Varg EX and Zero FX? I can see one advantage for the Zero, that's the onboard charger, huge if you use it to commute or as a part time street bike. What do you see besides that?

That's a lot! Do you mean VIN in the 4 thousands? About Gen1 or Gen2, take a look at the inverter and charging port Gen1 top of inverter is black and charging port is located real close to the rear shock Gen2 top of inverter is grey and charging port is relocated lower, on the inverter itself

    Stark Varg on-board charger

Not sure what you mean, the Varg is already legal to race Enduro in various countries and at the pro level Taddy B and Eddie Karlsson are racing it around the world?

    Varg production numbers / VIN

Varg 10199 spotted at Broward Motorsports Miami //www.browardmotorsportsmiami.com/--xInventoryDetail?id=16558853 Europe VIN must be higher so that's probably about 8000 Vargs made in 2024, and I'm sure they have been building up the stock for Varg EX starting deliveries in February.

    Stark Varg on-board charger

I still can't believe they haven't done an onboard charger for the Varg EX. Probably to save weight or limit cost but that remains a very odd choice to me. There are gonna be a lot of riders disappointed to learn they can only charge their street-legal bike with their stand. So basically you...

    battery protection in hard enduro

I think I would go with plastic covers instead of carbon fiber to absorb shocks better but no real world experience, sorry.

    battery protection in hard enduro

Motor covers, battery covers and others are available online. Here are some examples (some of these suppliers have many more Varg protections available, check their sites) https://www.axp-racing.com/en/product/xtrem-skid-plate-stark-future-varg-2023-2024-black-ax1728...

Great idea, anybody knows the cutoff in VIN between gen1 and gen2? If not, I guess we could get this info if people specify gen along with VIN. Charging port Gen2 (picture posted by AL_V) Is gen2 just about the inverter or other changes as well?

Power curve and traction control adjustability ?

Well it's also been mentioned in the Varg EX launch video so could mean it's finally ready for release or just more waiting, we should know more around the time of first deliveries in a couple of months. If they do it there will obviously be a video about it. About the paywall, they must have...

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

There are known issues with the bike, usually well taken care of under the 2 years warranty, like powertain, VCU or battery failures for instance (without mentioning tire tubes!). We may not be representative of all Stark owners but since there are a few on the forum, I'd like to give this a go...

EX OR MX FOR MX ONLY RIDERS

First presented to the public in 2017, not one specification has ever been communicated (hopefully it has changed a bit since 2017!), not any date of public release nor confirmation it would be the base for a production bike. Still think Honda will race 2026 MXEP though that doesn't mean a...

Cold Weather Storage and Charging Questions Answered

These are all very reasonable considerations, and thanks for Stark answers. One thing to keep in mind is the significance of each factor, their real world impact on battery performance and cycle life will vary from one battery cell to another. Everything in there is true, but how much battery...

    Throttle Stop

IMHO you should stop crying wolf, while entirely appropriate for a "varg" it's also plainly counterproductive. 1. No one knows if parts failures after 2 years will be a thing 2. No one knows how Stark would handle such supposed failures outside of warranty Are EV batteries likely to fail after...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

P50B does have higher cycle life than P45B, there is no downside to it, except probably cost https://www.molicel.com/inr-21700-p50b
