My favorite bike:
1971 Western Flyer Buzz Bike, new on Dec. 25, 1971. Sparkle-purple banana seat, intimidating forward-swept riser-bars with sparkle-purple grips, tri-leg seat supports, multi terrain tires. The seat could accommodate 3 small kids or 2 fat ones. The crescent shaped seat also...
If you take stuff apart, please take some pics or vids. We all want to learn the deep, dark mysteries of the innards of these beasts (without having to get our hands dirty, of course.)
Drove past the EcoBikeAdv park in Kingvale, CA on my way up to Reno Air Races this weekend. Didn't have time to stop and look, though, and the park wasn't open for the open house until the next day.
However, a few miles before you get to Kingvale on I-80, you run across this little beauty...
Looks like a cool application of the tech.
What pace were you setting? Let's see, a 4 minute mile would be 15mph, right? Hopefully your speedo was correct, and you haven't changed gear ratios, or the poor guys might have run a 3 minute mile pace or something!
I'm just down in San Ramon, if you'd like to plug the bike into MultiTool. But @Rashid510 is way more knowledgeable about the bikes than I am, so he's your better bet to actually fix something. Drop me PM if you'd like to use MT.
Maybe your electrons are stale. You should find some nice, organic, gluten free, fresh-picked, solar electrons from a reliable local vendor, or harvest them yourself with a nice roof garden array.
Hope you find a solution.
I was thinking the big fella below should fit your needs. (This particular site says their rental generators go from 20Kw to 4Mw!) I think you could indeed run a small town off that bad boy!
So, who's gonna bring the huge, industrial generator so everyone can charge their bikes at the same time, light the pit area, heat your lattes and burritos in the microwave, run the big-screen TVs, and generally power a small town? I know a dozen small generators will do the trick, but one big...
When I bought my MXR, I insisted that the dealer update the firmware first, and I plugged in the charger and charged the bike right in the showroom. (Fortunately I had already built a 240v to 120v adapter that I brought with me, so we could plug it in there.). This let me test both the bike and...
I also bought one after they closed shop. Best decision I made. The promise of upcoming cool bikes “sometime” down the line is nice, but doesn’t help us now. An Alta in the hand today is worth a dozen vaporware bikes that may or may not show up in a year or two or three... or never. If you are...
A quick little video of a sur-ron and an Alta MX. Haven’t seen too many vids featuring these two bikes in the same video. This is just some playing around, not a comparison vid. Same guy that won his class on the sur-ron in that Colorado hare scramble recently, posted in the sur-ron thread.
You can also start a private conversation with someone on the forum if you want. Click on @OneLapper picture, and click "Start Conversation" Then you don't have to air all your dirty laundry in front of the rest of us.
Although at this point, we are practically family anyway. We're related...
With 3 Altas, you should definitely look into setting yourself up a little laptop with MultiTool installed. @TCMB371 has some excellent videos on setting this up, even if you aren’t super computer savvy.
