Ouch!!! This seat post would really hurt once it bends or snaps on the first hard landing.
Most of these e-bike designers never rode a dirt bike before.
@DonCox actually has a real rocket launcher that he could install on a bike, if need be.
It could launch a tennis ball into the stratosphere, almost like Falcon Heavy.
This thread has gotten very interesting! I am starting to see the appeal of buying an e-bike with a quality suspension and other components, even regardless of its overall appearance, for as long as it is fun out-of-the-box to ride and to jump.
Ask the seller to ride the bike down to 25% before the purchase. Then come to pick it up with a laptop, check it at 25%, then charge it, then check again at 100%.
Good stuff. I have pinned it in the "Should I Buy An Alta" sub-forum.
I am wondering if this could be simplified somehow though. Wouldn't checking the battery at just two different SOC be sufficient?
We have some PMAC motors at work of various vintage (1-18 years). All of a sudden, in the last two years, we had to replace the encoders on all of them. Weird.
When the mount vibrates, it is funny how it keeps the surroundings dead-steady, but makes it appear as if the bike vibrates like a jackhammer!
I think a longer mount would make it look like the bike is floating, like in video games and Jeff Walker videos.
