Thinking about making the plastics for alta

I hope you are planning on copying the 2020 Alta or the 2000 Kawasaki shrouds then. There is no reason to make copies of the stock bulbous knee scraper shrouds. Nobody is breaking them, and the replacements are still available and plentiful.

    EXR #202 stolen in Utah

I know who did it. It was some trailer trash!

Thinking about making the plastics for alta

Can we just make molded covers for the front bulkhead to keep the aluminum from being scuffed up by the knee braces? We do not really need shrouds. I have a spare front bulkhead that I would like to donate to the cause.

The reversible number plates are making a comeback! This design can be used as the front number too.

    Rear 120/80-19 on mx/mxr fit?

I run that size in MX52 when I am in Arizona. I added two extra links to the chain to move the rear wheel 5/8" back, so now it doesn't rub much even with 110/90R19 tires.

Always remember to wear a bicycle helmet! And sneakers. Clip-on shoes are optional.

I suppose so. We will have only two threads there -- this and Lyndon's. Here you go: Lost/Found/Stolen

    Withdrawn Gone

It will sell. It's a great price for a low hours bike. But why is he selling? And have you bought your own MXR already?

    My ALTA MXR can fly!

Damn! For just 400 Euro/year I can ride the track every day, and even camp overnight with electrical hookup for $8/night. I am shipping my motovan to Germany!

    And another MXR appears....

These bikes remind me the electric cars of the pre-Tesla days. They were made by people and for people who hated cars. Same here, most of nowadays e-bikes are made for people who never owned a motorcycle before. I hope this changes soon.

    My ALTA MXR can fly!

Have a safe flight! Where is this? You used to be in Germany, now your profile says Los Angeles. I am curious where you found such a cool indoor supercross park. Nice skidpad extension! I need a similar one for all of my three bikes.

Are they serious it will have ABS brakes? Wow. That would be the first-ever ABS on a motocross bike. But most likely it is a typical uneducated journo talk.

Alta also used to claim a 75-mile range. With a 4.6 kWh battery, there is no way it will be more than 30-35 miles.

    Firmware MXR 2018

Do not drain the battery to zero, until you know for sure which firmware you have, and you should be okay. I do not think there are any externally identifiable features that the the latest firmware has that the previous firmware does not have, unfortunately.

My buddy Raced my Alta Video !

Great narration! I wish you guys had a spare battery to swap quickly.

    Look what Alta Started

Great, very competitive specs. The bike is 5 lbs lighter than the MXR. I like the small, quickly swappable battery! (y) What do you have for the inverter/motor controller? Does it need cooling?

    Look what Alta Started

@JWE -- Welcome to the club! Could you please share the technical specs? HP, battery capacity, weight. Are you using radiators, and if yes, then which components are you cooling? Can you crank out more than 60hp to beat the 450s on long straightaways? Also, I am curious how much would it cost...
