Welcome, Flynryan. Thank you for the story, the pics and the video. It seems like almost every time an Alta enters a race, and it finishes, it wins it's class. What Alta needs is more local race wins to get more street cred. This is awesome!

IIRC, the spoke wrench appeared tight, and even incorrect size, but eventually it worked for me too.

I have split off the dual generators discussion into a new thread here. It does not feel right to drool over the man's stolen generators, even though they are very nice.

You just need to add one of those 5kVA step-up transformers that @rayivers was talking about, and you are all set. Only 4 boxes to carry in/out of the truck/van. Or buy one 240V generator and roll it out.

Now, if there was a kit to connect those Generacs or Hondas in series...

They are light, compact and quiet, but underpowered for the Rapid charger. They generate only 10A instead of 16A. @rtf, are you implying those thin black wires somehow double the amperage? Can you even connect two AC sources together? Google says: You can't connect two AC sources in parallel...

I second that, KTMs use these types of connectors a lot.

From all my years doing data acquisition I have not learned how to put together connectors. Many of the compact ones require special tools. This one -- who knows... But I bet @MotoMinded knows how to deal with these.

The easy way is to order a new map switch. Which map are you stuck in? Does the bike run without it? Where is RadioShack when you need one?

There is a small white connector behind the number plate, near the middle. The other wire from that connector appears to be joining the left loom that sticks out from under the "gas tank" cap. BTW, that gas tank cover is called "delta wing". Need to add this to the Alta's dictionary.

Friday is the first race, so they have to have the bikes in Erzberg and race ready by Thursday night at the latest. I am just hoping that those two bikes were both Lyndon's and Ty has a spare. Else, no amount of money would get Alta into this race. The worst timing possible.
