The Erzberg firmware has been run on an A bike, so I suppose maybe it is possible. Not sure myself. Either way, you will be happier in the long run with the better version of Multitool.

You could also just try it on a different laptop first. You don’t really need anything special. One thing though before you go any farther and that is I don’t think you can load SM FW on an R pack bike. I could be wrong.

I use a Hewlett-Packard 6634A 100v dc power supply to do whole modules. A 70v should get you to the point where the pack will charge if that is all you have, but if you have to buy something anyway, go 100v. Does not have to be a lipo specific unit.

If there was an adequate location in the middle of the country that would be ideal, but to the best of my knowledge there are not many appealing options until you get closer to the coasts. If anyone has any interesting suggestions, please let us know. My experience going to Florida and Georgia...

The best part of an organized all electric ride is the looks you get when a group of silent bikes go whizzing by. Some of the reactions from our Tall Pines ride were great. Unfortunately for me yes I have :(

One disclaimer is the spots I’m recommending are not going to be appropriate for organizing races, purely recreational. We could certainly organize a whole host of various rides of different types, but it would not be exactly what our original poster, Matt, was envisioning as far as racing.
