How long ago was it last used? With moisture trapped inside it will be super critical that it be opened, dried out and resealed before corrosion occurs. Where is the battery located, could you ship it, and how much money would it take for you to part with it happily?

Getting/building a battery that would satisfy the needs of our Alta’s is simple enough...the problem is interfacing the BMS architecture of the replacement battery with the other components on the bike.

If it was up to me, the middle button on the mode selector would activate a “hill-holder” function and rolling the throttle back past neutral would cause more regenerative braking...how cool would that be?!

My 19 EXR is the same way, better if I adjust the rear shock for less sag, but then rear suspension doesn’t work as good.
