I developed a vibration on my MXR yesterday out riding. It felt like an old 500 two-stroke. Found out it was the front wheel bearings looks like water got in through two seals and caused some rusting. What was strange is the wheel spins freely. So keep a eye out 👁

The average moto guy right now can get 30 minutes plus at Race speed on an Alta. At a good practice space I get 42 to 45 minutes in map four.

We are one of the few that own and ride the latest technology in dirt bikes. It will be years before anything comparable comes into the market. We also have a future collectible motorcycle. Let’s not unload our Alta for a cheap price unless it’s to help out a fellow Alta owner to keep his running.

Yes it is a retaining groove for the bearing. Wrap 9 said they are not needed.

Has anybody replaced to their rear wheel bearings and is the clip missing on the brake rotor side? There’s a groove for a clip that’s not there .

All of you breaking should be done before you enter the corner. Once you have your corner entrance set up (your line) you should be off the brakes and accelerating through the corner through the corner.

It’s overheating because of the size of the rear sprocket. Poor little motor would have spin super high rpm to make one revolution of the rear wheel.
