Yes the Alta (especially the SM) is picky on loads. I think on the off board charger, not as bad. My main concern is the handshake. Once that handshake is confirmed it allows power from the station to then go to the charger. L1 or L2 would be ideal. L3 would be epic.

If your able to de-construct the dongle kit that @OneLapper created and encapsulate that or somehow got your hands on the Alta dongle, that can simplify the connection.

Yep, it should work just fine. The SM/EXR rear fender has two screw holes at the end which are for the Alta lighting kit aka "beaver tail". The MX rear fender does not have those holes (Gold was on 17s and 18 MXs sorry for the blurryness)
