HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

The specs on the MX2 bike are pretty much exactly what Dust Moto is building. The Fast Ace suspension is not for jumping, though. https://www.hvr-bikes.com/bikes-e/mx2-e/

General About the SPAM Attack today

Hi Electric Dirt Riders, I wanted to drop a quick update here to let you all know about a little hiccup we had today. Our forum got targeted by spammers who managed to post over 200 messages in just a few hours. But don't worry, we've got this handled smoothly and swiftly. We've purged all...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

The positive side of having poor traction control, or not enough of the "virtual flywheel," is that you can save the bike in the air from a sure endo by opening the throttle wide. This works on gas bikes, too, but electric bikes are a lot more effective at this. This is partially because you...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

All modern dirt bikes have some type of traction control. Have you heard Yamaha 4-strokes sputter at WOT as if hitting the rev limiter, even though it is still accelerating? This is traction control kicking in. The Alta has traction control that did not allow the motor to spin up too quickly...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

Too much power is not a bad thing if there is good traction control. It looks like Stark is still struggling with traction control in flat corners and the virtual flywheel settings in the whoops.

    RFN SX-e60

Maybe there is a place in he low-end market, but hardcore factory-supported racing is what the Japanese did to establish themselves as market leaders back in the 70's. They hired Roger De Coster, and the rest is history. Then Honda and others did the same. Before that, everyone was riding clunky...

I hope they also copy the KYB suspension internals, hire a few retired pro riders, start a racing team, and win a few races. That's my advice.

GM ends BrightDrop electric van production

I miss the EV bubble. I miss it so much I didn't even want to short all of those scam businesses like Nicola and Lordstown Motors.

GM ends BrightDrop electric van production

I think $49K is not a great deal for a defunct noisy/cold electric tin box that may no longer have any dealer support after its warranty expires. For that money, we may soon be able to buy used Cybertrucks.

@DonCox at World Vet Race at Glenn Helen

Here is our own @DonCox getting a podium at the World Vet Race at Glenn Helen! There were 5 riders in the 80+ class. Don won the first moto, but couldn't get past them in the other 2 motos, so he got 2 3rds, for a 3rd overall? There were a total of about 900 entries. Here is a YouTube video of...

GM ends BrightDrop electric van production

How did I not hear about this electric van before??! 😮 Apparently, the MSRP was about $66K, and it used to be possible to get the $7,500 consumer EV tax credit along with an up to $40,000 incentive for buyers of commercial vehicles. Was it possible to get one for $19K??? Anyway, this ended on...

The Varg SM caster offset and trail is awesome (it must be!)

Most SM bikes and almost all SM conversions ignore the poor caster trail outcome that happens after a 17" front wheel is installed on a front end that was originally designed for a 21" wheel. Not Stark! Cudos!

    General Mototec 72v 12000

Thinking of buying a 3 kWh Chinese dirt bike for half the price of a Stark, or the same price as a used Alta, and hoping you'll like it? If you buy an unknown new bike only to learn than you don't like it, if can be an expensive used bike sale. Get a Surron if you want a fun toy, or get a...

General Recommended earbuds for music while riding

Sena, Cardo, and others make in-helmet speakers, if this is what you prefer. They are primarily used as an intercom though because if you use them for music then without the road noise isolation they would just be adding to the road noise and in order to hear the music clearly you would have to...
