Home built linkage guard skid plate

Thank you but I can't accept this compliment because I don't have a degree. After all, E. Musk said multiple times that you don't need it in his opinion and that you can learn everything for free nowadays. Surely there are reliable sources of information online nowadays and also my experience in...

Home built linkage guard skid plate

Some considerations: • One of the problems of a short thread engagement is the possibility of loosening and IMO the thread locker would solve that. • Bottoming the screw out against the OEM screw underneath will affect its clamping force and I think it should be avoided. • Generally, the idea of...

Stark Varg SM order status & delivery times

I know this topic is not for compliments but with that light, the red plastics, the matching red center stand and those beautiul detalis it reminds me of Ferrari cars from the eighties. It would look way better than a painting exposed in a living room, lit by a warm light.

Owner's Review 2017 Alta Redshift MX factory demo at Hollister Hills SVRA

Hey wait a second. In this video, at 2:28 AJ says that Philip has some high bars and that bike has Alta Owners Forum stickers. @Philip: is that your Alta?

Home built linkage guard skid plate

Remember that Stark has stated that using an aftermarket skid plate would void the warranty; I don't know about a modification like this one. You could try countersunk screws to avoid having protruding heads.

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

@happyinmotion: thank you for having shared your experience. I dislike this design, too. My Husqvarna SM 610 has grease zerks in the linkages and I love them. I wish all bikes had them. Maybe for enduro they may risk getting damaged but for motocross and supermoto it shouldn't be a problem...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

I think that one of the main technical problems is heat. Let's say that a fast rider uses the whole charge of a 6.5 or 7.2 kWh battery in 0.5 hours, that means that the average power output has been roughly 14 kW. On the straightaways he probably used way more but then there is also braking and...

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

I'd also like to write some suggestions for when reinstalling the rocker arm, since Stark's video procedure is to just loosen the reverse thread locknut and then apply 5 Nm when reinstalling it: this may work for a clean bike but maybe not with a dirty one, since the reverse thread looks like an...

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

I remember trying to remove the crankcase bearings of my YZ250 by pushing them with pieces of wood or other objects hit by a hammer. I remember that at a certain point I stopped hitting them because I was afraid to break something. Then I heated up the crankcases and some bearings fell under...

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

Can you please keep us posted on what you will actually see after having removed the bearings? I don't know whether you are servicing an MX 1.0, a 1.2 or an EX but in either case, the picture of the rocker arm that I see on the official site in the spare parts section shows three bores without...

    Talaria Komodo

I'm not so sure about that and I don't understand why they make those bikes sturdier. We have two problems: • strength: I think that strength is given mainly by the tensile strength and by a low enough density that allows the manufacturer to use more volume of metal keeping the weight within...

    Talaria Komodo

Yes, that sounds like the biggest problem. They said the chain derailed only once but they tested it for a short time, too. They said that the suspenions are a huge problem and you can see that slow-mo where both the fork and the rear shock bottom out. Maybe if the shock were tuned stiffer, then...

    Educate me - Ultra Bee...

If you skim through this video you will notice that these KXE suspensions, apparently OEM on Surrons, have a pretty weird design: it seems that there is no bushing on the stenchion, like at 5:20. And in this video at 6:18 they explain that generally in these cheaper forks there are no bushings...

    Educate me - Ultra Bee...

I'm not saying that this is a typical example of the reliability of an Ultra Bee, maybe it's just a very rare case, but I think you can should read this thread, if you haven't already.

    custom power curves for 1.0

Hi and welcome. Ther is already a thread about this: Advance modes for MX1.0 and, as you can read in the latest posts from December, Stark said that they intended to release the update within January.

Varg rider considering YZ conversion for less weight

So, have they first created superintelligence and then asked it to design a functional solid state battery? All this sounds too good to be true, to me. Thanks for this, now I have adjusted my expectations. And welcome to this forum. In theory, the Verge bikes equipped with solid state batteries...

Varg ridden at 6,700 m = 22,000 ft above sea level

A more extended video: Something I've found pretty interesting: • The inverter and the VCU are airtight and assembled at sea level (so with a lower external pressure they tend to expand) but their engineer connected to the bike to make sure they were allright. • At 13:40 and 17:54 he deflated...

Varg rider considering YZ conversion for less weight

Che sorpresa! :) When you lower the bike, you lower the center of gravity, but you also lower the handlebars or whatever you use to lift the bike. Since the distance of the handlebars to the ground is greater than the distance of the COG to the ground, though, you will still make it easier to...
