Yeah that is what I was running for a while. I find it took too much off map one for me. There is a lot of loam where I ride and it helps to have the torque coming out of ruts. I feel similarly though that I would prefer to ride map three most of the time but it isn't enough for the big jumps...
Have you tried a different rear sprocket to get a "map 3.5" the guy I bought my mxr from had a smaller sprocket on the rear and it took some of the edge of of 4th to make it more of a 3.5. I ended up changing it back to the stock sprocket set up because I wanted map 1 to be be snappier for hair...
Very dependent on speed. I am from NY and do a lot of tight woods with wet and muddy conditions. I can get about an hour and a half if I leave it in map one at race pace most of the time. I did an enduro late fall last year, it was very muddy on a fast track and I was changing between maps for...
I messed up one of the connectors last summer. I taped and sealed it up as a temporary fix but would like to replace it. Does anyone know where ai can find one. By the way all of my wire connectors are extremely brittle I would recommend people be careful if unplugging things that haven't before...
If somone sends me the files it will probably take a few weeks. I think one shroud will probably take several days and then I can ship them to whomever wants to make molds. I don't have access to the printer yet but likely soon. It prints 500mm by 500mm by 500mm which I think is big enough. If...
I may have access soon to a rather large 3d printer if there is files for the shroud I can probably print it and send it to somone who wants to make molds
I feel like this is way past the realm of easy or worth it but what about incorporating a Bluetooth module that connects to a phone and gives information about SOC that way. Would require an app or program to display this but it would be nice.
I use contact cleaner instead of grib glue and it works great. I also run wire on my grips but I road a few times with just contact cleaner as the adhesive and they didn't move. I have no idea why this works also but it has for me. Easy to get on, all the excess just evaporates and it feels...
I think Steve does factory connection stuff too. I think he is both racetech and factory connection certified mechanic or implemtoru I am not sure what the term is. I would give him a call and ask on that though. I know he used a factory connection rear spring couples with the racetech internals...
Where in NY are you located. I took my bike to Steve Mathewsons. He put racetech gold vales in mine and set it up for my skill set weight and it kicks ass. He has done quite a few Altas now. He was part of the dealer here in NY and did the suspension for all Altas sold here. Highly recommend him...
Good that you will have both. I used almost 3 whole charges at his class and had to miss a section on starts and some open practice time. I was riding map 3 on mostly dry hardpack but some loose soil as well.
