The Reliance RS50 cells are the best choice. They give great power and long range. I’ve built two batteries using the RS50 cells and they work great.

I cut most of the bottom out of the tank. The reasons were two fold. First I had to clear the battery. Second, I had to provide clearance for the battery cables and wiring. Here are some photos of my tank cuts.

It looks like we can ad the Suzuki to the list of frames that battery shape fits into. Make sure your counter shaft sprocket is at the correct vertical height. It looks a wee bit high in the photos.

So far I've put about 60 miles on the KTM. It handles incredible. The low center of gravity really helps balance out the bike. The range is 40 to 50 miles Here are a couple videos from the first ride:

It's a wrap. The KTM is all finished and rides like a dream. The @DonCox battery design is quick change and the battery weight is carried much lower in the chassis. This battery is constructed using Reliance RS50 cells. I'm excited to see how it performs.

Amorge built two batteries for me using the Reliance RS50 cells. Allen recommended we give these a test. We will see how they perform. The battery was priced fairly economically.

The saga continues. Today my battery arrived. That allowed me to begin mock-up of the battery mounts. And, I was able to cut out the bottom of the tank to clear the battery. Here are some pics.

The motor mounts are custom made for each build.

You will see in the last photo that I had to re-bend the brake lever to fit the width of the motor. I plan to remove the upper motor mount to accommodate the battery.

Motor, controller and all the peripherals are mounted. Just need the battery which is expected in a couple weeks. Here are some pics.
