how to find out a metric male thread size without a measuring tool

If the head is 10 or 8 with a flance it's probably m6. 13-10 for m8. 17 for m10. 19 for m12 etc. m5 is normally 6 but on bikes often a flanced 8mm, that's the only kind of confusing one.

Are MX tracks you ride at adapting to electric dirtbikes?

    - Emmen in the Netherlands has many power outlets 16A so full Stark charging is no issue. Free of charge although they are concidering a payment system, wich to be honest is fair. - Eersel has paid places with over 4kW each. There may be more tracks that i'm not aware of. The issue is that...

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

I normally do 40%. 100% is way too much, then the rear locks up all the time going down steep stuff.

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

Not really. In Hard Enduro often freeroll is best and brake on the brakes. But in more street like scenario's or very long gravel ish it would be great to use the same lever as a regen brake lever. Since it's just wires 1 lever can do lots of stuff. And sure you know wheter your ride will be...

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

Yeah the fully freerolling would be nice as well as the cutting power. For streetrides programming it as a engine brake would be great. Especially downhill somewhere in the mountains. Being able to frictionless brake on steep decents would be great. For those purposes it would be enough to have...

    Arkenstone miles tracking is crap

It has everything to do with them constantly trying to communicate all kind of data between a bike and a phone with a not so consistent data method. The more people complain to them about it the better. It's actually the only thing that makes their bike feel cheap. Sad thing is it's the thing...

Any other EX owners CA registration $400?!?

With us it's weight dependent. Nothing to do with the value of the vehicle. At least your gas prices are super low. I checked 0,89 euro/L or 3,05 dollar/gallon? Prices haven't been that low in my lifetime here. Today we are at 2,25/L or about 10 dollar/gallon. A pricehike of about 20% since the...

Any other EX owners CA registration $400?!?

We have those kind of taxes as well. But it's monthly. If you don't pay them the system automatically knows and sends you a fine. Same goes for insurance (insurance is obligated). In both cases the insurer also doesn't have to cover anything you do. You can "schorsen" (take a vehicle formally...

Any other EX owners CA registration $400?!?

Well damn, that's quite the opposite of what we have... Is this a yearly tax of some sort?

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

True, i do on my 2 stroke as well. But that's less of an issue with the Stark for example. But the most usefull thing, storing energy in the flywheel and letting that roll you over an obstacle with throttle closed, you don't get with an E clutch.

    Lowered pegs

Aren't there cheap ones in multiple positions? I often use cheap inferior stuff from Aliexpress to test. Sometimes the stuff ends up being not so inferior wich is a big bonus!

The Arctic Leopard i tested had the same thing. Didn't do hard Enduro on it, but i could see it's usefullness to avoid whiskey throttle. Although it sucks in clutch dropping since you don't have a flywheel to carry you up obstacles.

Then you would need to assume that 1 row of the 120mm would do the same amount of power as 2 of 70mm. If so that could mean a narrower battery pack. If not, nobody is gonna want a Varg that can get less far than the old one. I would suspect they want the same width since they can keep the same...

That could be an option, but would leave you with open space within the frame. Would be a nice spot for an onboard charger or toolkit 😜

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

As i sidenote i must add that i've had far greater succes with customer support than seems to be the standard. I think that's due to me having experience communicating technical issues. As a Proces Operator in a large high-end production enviroment you learn to describe problems in other ways...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

I don't think that those new cells in the announced length will be in the Varg. It will end up much wider wich is an issue for a dirtbike. Or will end up much narrower. I could see the same chemistry and aluminium caps on the current cell size though. It will have the drawback for them of...

That will be very cool. If the screw me over at that after buying an EX they might have a severe case of battery fire in their PR departement :muutt:

    Maximizing range for supermoto

That's the good thing about Starks. You can switch between regen maps. Long downhills in the mountains can take 100% regen while you go back to something like 40% on flat. Not that it matters in my home country. But in places in France and Spain i've seen some nice added ''free'' energy coming...

This looks like a countershaft axle that went out of allignent pushing the rotor out of allignment and thus shorting the whole thing. Would also explain locking up the rear tyre as he described and the short explosion.
