    Converting EX to an MX?

MX 1.0 has entirely different electronics. But pretty much everyhting else is bolt on. You could make a 1.0 a 1.2, but you would need the motor, battery, VCU, wiring harnas, phone and docking station.

    General 100 MPH CLUB

The rev limiter is lower so the speedo will never show it. You will need a GPS or a calculator to get it. The EX hits the limiter hard at 138 km/h or 86 km/h. You will need 17% taller gearing. 12-48 stock. The 15 gets you 25% more and i know that pulls to the limiter. So yeah probably i've hit...

    Converting EX to an MX?

For us the MX was actually quite fine. We're a sand MX country. Pretty much every suspension gets beefed up around here. Mine is still stock but a lot of people had the front stiffened by tuners. I'm ot 100% sure about the EX. 1 day of minor offroad (with beginners) and a few days on SM wheels...

    Converting EX to an MX?

I can't feel it. But the suspension is worlds apart.

Stark varg support is the worst

And not forget stiffness. The pre 2000 bikes are like cooked noodles compared to the newer ones. May not be your style. But the amount of force modern MX bikes get to endure compared to the days of old where suspension was way less advanced is not to be underestimated. In ADV bikes you see the...

Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

The MX 1.0 clamp never came of with me and i've thrown the bike of quite some cliffs. In the Enduro parks on Holiday i had 2 zipties around it to prevent it from comming out if the mechanism would come loose. Never needed them. In Bilstain Hard Enduro i did not use them since it's just 1...

Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

The MX1.0 is a totally different cradle. I don't know when they changed it, but i just know they did. Since i had the dealer demo bike and my new one next to one another and they were different.

Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

No the demo bike i had didn't, so they figured it out somewhere since high 600's VIN's. Also 1st of may @Beagle will rent a Stark at Pascuet and join us. Might be a nice mini meeting ;)

    EVE CELLS on factory bikes????

My inside bird was chirping about 8.5kWh in production Vargs end of 2027 with the same form and size battery. One might suspect that that battery is in their current competition bikes for testing and development.

Stark varg support is the worst

Stark's tech support is actually pretty good. As soon as you give them good info they are very knowledgeable. However trying to real time connect a phone to an external device (the bike), having it to start up along with the bike and doing all that via Bluetooth has it's fundamental drawbacks...

Stark varg support is the worst

The EX dash so far seems better than my early MX gen 1. But still often won't go on with the bike. But taking it out and turn it on with the manual button often does it. But it should just work. I have never have dashes not coming on with the multitude of bikes i had/have. Even the most finiky...

Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

Haha thanks. We live next to Germany so we had to learn decades ago how to protect our 2 wheelers 😜 Yeah i'm lucky enough to share this hobby with my girlfriend so we can do a lott of Enduro travels. In a few weeks we'll be in Pascuet (Spain) once again. With German friends we met over there...

Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

Willkommen, Nachbar! Not all the EX's have it. But the newer ones have a threaded hole on the right side. If you add a bolt there it can't click out. If you choose some obscene bolt head for that it will be very hard to steal. Might ask a certain car builder from Bayern about such a bolt head...

Stark varg support is the worst

They should just stop the phone dash thing. It's beyond hopeless. My experience with support is way better than average in this topic. The the phone on both the MX1.0 and the EX are always looking for ways to make trouble.

    Converting EX to an MX?

An MX is just an EX with harder suspension and no lights. I've owned a MX 1.0 for 2,5 years and since very short an EX. On the street with street tyres i seem to get 95km or 59 miles. Get the gearing taller and range gets better, but your speedo will be off.

7 Support Tickets in 4 Months — Now a Drivetrain Issue Stark Says is Tires. It Isn't.

Well how about a simple test then? Take of the chain and rev to the speeds you have the vibrations. If it's still there it's the motor/gearbox. If not, it's wheels/chain/suspension etc.

Help Needed removing the front sprocket

80 isn't that much. Plenty of front sprockets are speced well over 120Nm.

    Zero DS 2013 trouble charging

I have a Zero DS 2013. It often won't start charging. When it does it will charge fully without issue. When i connect it it will start blinking green on the dash, just like normal. However when it won't start charching it will blink green 3 times and then stop. After some time the red light...

Are you faster on the Varg

Stark has the issue climbing that their gear is unlimited tall. Once it breaks traction it spins to the moon. The Beta 300 has a gear with limited speed. My next Hard Enduro trip to Spain i will use the 3 months free pro subscription. I will make a hillclimb map that drops torque after somthing...

    Lights on EX

As for the whoite light. Contacted Stark 10:05 this morning. They replied with a question, send them answer and a picture. Now at 13:32 i have confirmation they send me a new handlebar switch. I always found their tech support quite good. Now they seem to have added speed to the list (y)
