    Stark range video(s)

I don't run out of battery . I ride my bike in mostly trail, slow gnarl, and hard enduro typically 4 hours or less. I am not a fast MX track guy like you anymore.:)

My Stark Varg MX1 will not switch to Run mode.

Interesting and good to know. That is a spot that collects load of dirt and mud too.

I don't see regen like that. I see it more like the mass of a 4T and can be useful energy that is reclaimed and used for control like engine braking. All the energy in dragging a parking brake is lost to heat with no useful work or (re)storage.

100% Agree. Also I am sure @markhamr is way faster than me.

What are you using for regen? Are you riding it like a 2T? If so, tune it more like a 4T.

Stark Varg EX in excessive heat.

It is nice to know the E auto industry has found work for former Chevy Vega engineers. It must be a special thing to design something that won't work within the normal operating ranges encountered by users and then fully inform buyers of it almost 10 years later. This likely helps sustain the...

My Stark Varg MX1 will not switch to Run mode.

That is weird. I wash my bike Varg MX1 with a powerwasher (my only choice) and have never had a problem with water invasion. There were some reports of Starks being locked out by the factory for issues with titles/ownership. The do get locked if theft is reported. The bikes will power on like...

Stark Varg EX in excessive heat.

Wow. I have never heard of that. My brother lives in Rimrock. I will have him check on the zip ties and plastics of some of our stuff.

Stark Varg EX in excessive heat.

Do they get sun exposure in AZ? Even shit plastic typically doesn't degrade quickly thermally below 150 F. I have plastic zip ties in my garage cheap shit bought from Home Depot and they have lasted for years. And the garage is unheated and uncooled (but no or little sun). Temps range from 0 F...

Stark Varg EX in excessive heat.

Why would where the zip ties are made matter? Alll plastics no matter where they are made typically fail due to exposure to UV.

    Chain slack

Well at least it comes with the updated oil drain plug with the 13mm head instead of the "lets see if we can spin out the soft aluminium" torx only option.

Plus, the cost of the re-branded Chinese parts probably isn't nearly as high as we assume.:ricky:

You guys don't seem all that shy with all those ladies...NOT. :ROFLMAO:

    Varg Red Tube

Yes that is probably true. The red tubes especially did not like enduro things such tree hops or rock gardens where severe uneven point pressures are applied. Also, the plastic material seems to become "slippery" with water invasion as opposed to rubber which seems to remain tacky even when wet...

    Stark varg mx not charging

I missed riding today because of the red tubes. I should have swapped them out but since I have an updated Varg I thought I would give them another try. Bit me again. I only get to ride every other weekend...:(

    Varg Red Tube

Agreed. For me I can run heavier tubes to pretty low pressures, not like a mousse but much lower than the red tubes. They didn't like under 10psi and some of the muddy wet terrain was just not something they were well suited for.

    Varg Red Tube

That was the right move. My first Varg (MX built late 23) the red tubes lasted one hard enduro ride. My new Varg (MX built mid-late 2024) red tubes lasted two hard enduro rides. Almost made it to three but no such luck. I used IRC heavy duty tubes as the replacement last time with 0 problems.

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

Ok so looks like the old red tubes made it just one ride and the new ones held up for two rides. I wish the failure could have happened before I loaded my bike on my carrier for ride number 3. The front tire just wouldn't hold pressure any longer. I think Stark should just drop the experiment...

For Sale My mid life crisis is now over! THX 2017 Alta Redshift MX. S/N 00037, time to move on... $5400 obo.

Wow friend. If you lived closer to me I'd either be buying a bunch of your stuff or trying to talk you into continuing to ride. In our age group you have to get used to riding alone I guess... Good luck. BTW cool on the Super Rat I had a Combat Wombat back in the day...

Performance difference from MX to EX?

I wonder if it is suspension, geometry, and weight distribution that is effecting the HP required to loft the front wheel? That seems like an awful lot of horsepower difference to achieve the same behavior.
