    Grind down steering stops?

The EX doesn't have adjustable stops like the MX?

    Grind down steering stops?

Proceed with care. A little too much off the stop and you could contact the carbon spoiler resulting in damage and tears and once removed it's much harder to replace that missing material

    Chain slack

From Stark; I getting a Gen2 powertrain. Is that actually an upgrade?

Activating the Stark MX phone microphone; how?

I've been through settings, google and a few other places. Does anyone know the trick to turn on the MX Varg microphone???

    Chain slack

Yup. Aren't they all still? I don't know for sure if it's a bearing or something else. Sounds like a bearing but what do I know? Maybe if the bearing/s are that noisy, more than just the bearing/s is compromised.

    Chain slack

Just got my reply from Stark: Powertrain replacement required.

    Chain slack

1st Gen MX. Hours; my phone sez 35 but I'm sure it's higher than that number. Also I've never checked for this condition before; I just happened to have the bike on a stand with the chain off and thought I'd run it up. Then I heard the noise and remembered about the chain slack change/update.

    Chain slack

I had my bike on a stand with the chain off. Powered it up and with throttle applied increased the speed and got a noticeable "Growl" out of the motor near the counter shaft area which got louder as speed was increased. I'm thinking that the tighter chain adjustment may have compromised the...

Ordering next week, do I get a 60hp or 80hp version?

Unless you are a Pro rider and depending on the track, you will be slower at 80HP than 60HP and you will likely be slower at 60HP then 50HP. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

    Owner's Review long term stark

Do you really think a rider could feel a difference with TI axles? Because of where the mass is located, I would think the extra weight of switching to standard tubes would far offset the weight savings of the TI components. I agree the bike is heavy but as for myself it is only an issue...

Here is my major rub with Stark.

I guess some of us will all wait for a year or two and see how it works out.

Here is my major rub with Stark.

The word that keeps coming back to me is SERVICEABILITY. That is the little elephant in the room that will keep getting bigger & bigger. Parts have to be available as well as diagnostic equipment and repair procedures. Sure the motors seem tough but we are still in the first two year window...

Here is my major rub with Stark.

The bike, warranty and customer service is great. But when that warranty is gone and the bike needs powertrain work (invertor/motor/battery/VCU) we are kind of screwed. On a ICE bike if a engine component fails (ignition, crankshaft, piston, gaskets, etc.) owners can go in and replace the...

Might want to check your CAN bus connection

I was thinking the same thing but I contacted Stark and showed them the pictures and bam; they didn't hesitate in sending me out a new battery and wiring harness. Should be here any day. I just picked up some ACF-50 aircraft/military grade anti-corrosion aerosol.

    SAM Starks AI assistant?

So appropriately enough Stark is using AI to interface with users to lighten the load on Stark's c/s team. I'm not to hip on AI but it seems to me SAM is relatively primitive as far as AI goes. I did ask SAM what SAM stood for, thinking it was a acronym for a cool tech name. Well SAM told me...

    Power Upgrade on the Varg

Not much difference than checking the high-performance option on a 1969 Chevelle. Be happy it's as seamless as just paying for it as opposed to taking the engine out or rebuilding it with the high performance parts. Of course a 1969 Chevelle is pretty much hack proof :D

Might want to check your CAN bus connection

I agree with Theo, popping the battery apart is risky and subject to all sorts of problems. I removed the torx screws from the housing and there is not much wire length to play with. Plus they are likely attached to some sort of circuit or mother board. I'll get with Stark and hope for the...

Might want to check your CAN bus connection

I had a closer look at mine today and the news is not good. I was using a solution of H2O and baking soda to clean up the corrosion. I was using a toothbrush to apply the solution. Unfortunately one of the pins broke off. I'm not sure if the pin had succumbed to the corrosion and broke off...
