    Snowbike build...?

There are many snow bike conversion kits. I can't compare as I'm using just the Explorer which I bought 6 years ago. It was together with the wheels which are very helpful pushing the bike into the garage. You can use the KTM 350 kit. You just have to make 2 new spacer rings as those don't fit...

    MXM

I think spring of next year. I suppose that the sales will start in Europe first. Individual purchases from US might be possible similar like we had bought Altas in US 4 years ago and organized the transport to Europe by ourselves.

    FIM pushes e-dirt bikes

The FIM e-Dirt Bike Meeting took place in Saint Chamond in France on 2nd July. About 60 people from FIM headquarters, country FIM authorities (mainly Europe) and some e-dirt bike producers took part in. The FIM representation was quite strong – Antonio Alia Portela – Director Motocross...

    MXM

You are right. It may have an old-school look. But – the same progressive damping performance like state of the art monoshock with linkage, 1+ kg lighter assembly, better center of gravity and 25 % more space for the battery. What do you think, does the “old fashioned” look pay off?

    MXM

MXM - Inspired by ALTA – by her beauty, high performance and joy of ride. Designed by its own way after ALTA's production had been discontinued. Photos from the FIM e-Dirt Bike Round-Table and Testing in Saint Chamond France last weekend.

    FIM pushes e-dirt bikes

It would be an honour to present the opinion of the members of the Alta forum. The question is how many of us do agree to what you wrote above. I do absolutely. We are definitely not 924. I would guess 400? I don't know but we are for sure the most numerous group of users of electric dirt bikes...

    FIM pushes e-dirt bikes

Hi guys, it looks like FIM wants to accelerate the expansion of e-dirt bikes and e-dirt bike races. New high performance E-MX from Germany

Thank you. Fully agree with respect to the development which followed after Mono-Shock and Pro-Link market introduction in later 70th. According to what I read the original reason was to get space inside the frame for the exhaust pipe.

New high performance E-MX from Germany

Does somebody know what has been the main real technical reason for using single shock instead of dual ones since Yamaha developed its Mono-Shock system in 1972 on MX bikes?

    Import to Europe

Hi, I imported an Alta to Europe in 2017 and another one last year. Both by air. The transport in 2017 was fast (2 weeks), for a good price (1.100 USD) and no problem. Very contrary of the transport last year. The reason was that the rules for transport of lithium batteries have changed and...

Looking to pickup a new generator

What do you think about this one - just 64 lb and works well with rapid 230 V charger. I have been using it to charge my both Altas for 2 years. You can easily load it into your truck by one hand.

Why haven't one of the major mfr's released an Alta comparable full sized dirt bike yet?

Unfortunately, ultracapacitors haven't been so far develped so that they could replace batteries in electric vehicles. Their gravimetric density is about 20 times lower than at li-on batteries (10 Wh/kg vs. 250 Wh/kg) and the price for 1 kWh is about in the same ratio  Their only...

Alta accepted at Dubya World Vet MX Championship?

I got an officiial confirmation recently: "The Alta bike will be allowed to race the World Vet MX Championships. Please note we have a lot of hills with elevation changes – Thank you Lori Wilson, Manager Glen Helen Raceway Inc. 909-384-9342" (y)(y)(y)

Alta accepted at Dubya World Vet MX Championship?

It would be amazing to have the same number of electric bikes at the event like the combustion engine ones!!

Alta accepted at Dubya World Vet MX Championship?

Exactly. If things will go out how planned I would let the 10 bikes in the USA partly for sell and partly for marketing purposes like trial rides etc.

You will be the first ones for sure who will get the newest information. I think they will be available at the end of May.
