Admit Jet - with clutch and transmission! Anyone else seen this?

Here’s a vid of bike being ridden. Seems impressive for the price and weight (around $4500 shipped to your door and about 240lbs).

One of the better video of the demo Stark.

I think I felt a little bit of drool form as I watched that! One note, if you pause where the camera pans over the front sprocket you can clearly see that this bike (or at least the power plant) has seen some real runtime at significant load conditions.

    Sur Ron Ultra Bee

It is interesting that the picture shows front and rear turn signals, license plate bracket, passenger foot pegs, reflectors on the forks…all common parts for bikes that the manufacturer intends to be road legal, yet they are to be sold here as off-road only.

Real first picture of the Stark grey

I’m just gonna wait until someone in my area gets one and then figures out that the range is inadequate for their purposes and puts it up for sale, so it will be whatever color it is.

    Mattawa (Saddle Mountains) Dunes Area

Tried out the Alta here earlier this year.

SOLVED: DC Timeout Code 113 when charging! Something new!

I think I remember hearing about this problem with one other Alta owner, and it turned out to be one of the pins in the charge connector was loose and sliding down into the connector. Might consider pushing lightly on each of the pins in the bike’s connector just to make sure they are secure.

Media Review KR 94 tries the Varg

Riding an ICE bike with the exhaust noise and vibration through the pegs and grips creates more sensations when riding and gives a more visceral feel than riding electric. My first impression of my Alta could also be described as kind of “hovering”.

    2022 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 29 & 30

Yes, that does look right. The 132 minute lap is Philip and I’s laps combined because his bike battery died and thus did not go through the checkpoint (I took GoPro video of my run, so I do have my time for that lap). My worst lap time was the 75 minute night lap that I rode Silas’ supermini.

    2022 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 29 & 30

Results are in. So we finished 5th in our class. Philip clocked us off the course at 10:32am. 18 laps were counted (one lap was not counted and one rider elected to skip his turn).

    2022 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 29 & 30

I have noticed concern on some of the forums as to whether this race will happen next year, and riders are being encouraged to express appreciation to Scott and Debbie for what they and the volunteers do as well as to consider volunteering themselves if possible. The amount of time/work...

    2022 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 29 & 30

Silas and I will try to find our wristbands from the last race we participated in at Starvation Ridge.

    2022 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 29 & 30

I would like to be part of this, and I’ll ask the teenager if he is game when he gets out of school today. So long as you three are all ok with him on ice bike again (still not tall enough to safely ride an Alta).

The joy of selling dirt bikes

As a used car salesperson, I have to deal with these guys on a daily. If I’m trying to sell something I make sure I’m aware of every comparable unit within 50 miles of my lot. If the unit I’m offering happens to be the lowest priced one and I get hit with this question, I just respond that...

    Sold New 2019 EXR

Not the only one on the planet; I have one still in the protective plastic...4 or 5 miles on it I think.

    My Output Shaft Snapped.

For what it’s worth, I rebuild Honda car transmissions, and they have three shafts with gears retained by large nuts that have to be removed. I take two pennies (1982 or older, so solid copper/not plated) stacked together and feed them into the gears to stop them. Never had any issue with...

    2021 edition of 24 hours of Starvation Ridge October 30 & 31

Might still go with my oldest kid. We’d do Ironman that way we can ride laps at the same time.

Yes, we are in. I’ve been distracted and forgot how early they do pre registration.

Got this for punishing myself on my ‘84 CR500R following my oldest kid around on his KX80 in April.
