Congrats! I went past 5K this morning, wouldn't have noticed except for your post. Btw... do you notice any change in motor power? I used to be able to lift the front wheel fairly easily in map 1, but not anymore.

I have not noticed any diff in power... its an 18 EXR. I have a 18 MXR w/ ~4k miles on it too, both bikes have wp xplor suspension - mainly ride trails in the uintas and wasatch range. Both ride the same, always keep them in map 4, and never had a problem getting front up.

Cool pic! Is that windblown ice?

I really should've gotten an EXR, but I wanted that AER fork for some reason. I don't notice the power thing in map 4 either, just 1 and maybe 2 as well. I'm mainly using map 3 since the last Ohlins revalve, the rear suspension works so much better without the strong map 4 regen (my MXR's maps are identical to the SM's, not sure what's up with that).

Hi Ray, I'd try to re-time the motor via multitool. Might help

Thanks for that idea, Oded - I'll check it when I finally get off my butt and hook up MT. At this point, I honestly think it's the magnets degrading from use. When new, the bike had strong 'cogging' w/key off and was difficult to maneuver uphill into the garage sometimes, hot or cold. Now it has weak cold cogging, and almost none when hot. Fwiw, I brought my Zero in for retiming when it lost torque and started surging, turned out the timing was fine.

I would definetly try the re-time/potentially update the inverter. Over time the motor cogging will change, and that definetely due to the bearings wearing, but nothing out of the ordinary.

FYI - Zero timing is idiotic. The XMX commisioning program required your to PULL the belt during production a few times . Operators did not know how to do that correctly which would lead to mistiming/bad cogging from the motor. Since Zero used an encoder chip, the chip also had a tendency to go bad...

Yeah, I don't miss the Zero experience at all. One dealer was excellent and knew his stuff, the rest varied from sort-of-OK to awful.
