Just thought I'd share,
Bought new in Sept 2024 for $2190aud
During the first few rides it displayed a few error codes, E086, E088, E099 and would go into limp mode. There's no reference in the manual what the error codes meant and nothing online, they just say "take it to your dealer" but I didn't worry, I just imagined it might be a battery imbalance or something. We take it out every couple of weeks and haven't seen any error codes for a while. Another niggling issue is the throttle assembly fouls easily with sand/grit ingress making is sticky (unwanted cruise control). I bought an additional throttle assembly ($70aud) and periodically swap/clean them.
It has a 24ah 54.6v battery (1.31kwh) and lasts my young fella easily 5hrs of riding in the maximum power setting. With a 36kph top speed it's really fast enough, we had a pw50 previously which would max out at 39kph (measured with a GPS on the bars). Considering a pw50 is around 36kg, the CFmoto is 49kg so big weight difference, that hasn't seemed to be an issue with my young fella who has been riding without training wheels from a month after we bought it. I slowly introduce him to more sand and skatey terrain and if in doubt he puts both feet down. The disc brakes are excellent.
I can really vouch for it, I'd consider getting him the CX-5E as he gets older. Now I just need to get a Stark Varg for myself
