Replaced the hedger and went for a ride today. The new one is working great, however I'm not so sure I'm going to do much trimming in the next few months. It was only 65 degrees out and I was melting after 30 minutes of hacking at the bushes. I did find a pretty good method though - leave the top strap off, it isn't really needed anyway for the hedger since it is lighter. Once you get to a section you want to clear, leave the battery connected, leave the bottom strap in place, you only need to remove the middle strap and and you can pull it out - hack 100 feet of bushes on one side, then hack the other side on the way back. Throw the hedger back in the blade holder and put the one strap on and then go another 100 feet and do it over. If it was cooler out, the battery was good for at least 2 hours. Kind of surprised how tiring it was.
