Mike Burkeen, of the AMA, spoke with Steve Agular today with some great news. They are going to have an Official Electric Class race included in the Washougal, WA, AMA Pro Motocross weekend during the Amateur days of the event. There is also going to be a Open Electric Class at the Mammoth Qualifier week. on June 27.
I don't know all the particulars, but it is for full size bikes, with 21" front wheels and 19" rear wheels. It will at this time be an Open Class.
There isn't much more known yet, but it is a start and d an opening in the AMA

They realize they are missing money. There is by now enough riders to make a class, even with the late notice. It's a great start, and opens some closed doors. With Beta releasing the new 350 2 stroke MX'er, the Open class is shaping up!
