Do any of you have the same problem of your Stark Phone constantly turning on while the bike is off?

Every other I walk into my garage, the Arkenstone phone screen is on while the bike is off.

Any recommendations for a fix?

Start with shutting the bike all the way down. Then the phone. Have a coffee (very important).

I used to have a similar issue, got in the habit of full shut down when parked at home (bike not phone). Nothing since.

Thanks, I'll have to do the same thing from now on and just full shutdown my bike. The Arkenstone phone turning on and off endlessly is probably not very good for it.

No, don't shut the bike all the way down.
There is a small battery in the VCU, if it goes dead while the bike is in full shutdown, you won't be able to turn it back on.
I'm pretty sure Stark will warranty it and send you a new VCU, but you'll be down for a couple weeks while you email, wait for reply, and wait for shipping.

Yes. I fought it for days trying every trick.
The bastard would randomly light up and stay on overheating at full brightness and draining the battery.
It's not related to wireless charging. Even unclamping it from the dock and slightly raising didn't help.

I decided it's some bug in the app and gave up. Now I put the bike in total shutdown and phone as well. This way there's no drain on both batteries.

Mine does this now too, it didn't when I first bought it. How do you completely shut the bike down and if I leave the charger plugged in will it still maintain the vcu battery?

Mine has been doing the same thing except today the phone was completely dead even though I thought it was supposed to be charging on the bike when the bike is charging up. I had to charge it up in the van while out riding. What am I missing?

I'm not aware the "phone" charges while on the bike, I think you need a cord for that? (I'd LOVE to be incorrect, but when it's left on the bike and the bike is fully charged it will continue to drain the "phone" battery...

Also, I'm in the same boat w/ the "phone" starting back up after I turn it off (to save it's battery)

hola

my phones display also switched on frequently with no reason.
i handled it… now i see that it has stopped and stays dark.
no idea if it works on someone else arkenstone nor why.

what i did…
took the phone of the bike
closed the app
it started the app by itsself within a second
left the house - and i lost bluetooth connection
closed the app
put the phone back on the bike
… no light on the display the last days…

🤔

The platform behind the phone is a wireless charger.
So today I checked to see how my phone was doing, if it was charging or not and it was almost dead again. I pulled it out and dropped my iPhone in the cradle and it started charging. That obviously tells me the phone itself has a charging issue. Any ideas on how to make it charge while in the cradle? It definitely worked when I first got the bike a few months ago.

Sounds like there is a problem with your Stark Phone. If it's not as easy as a wireless charging activation or deactivation setting (which is deactivated on the later versions) then there is a problem with the wireless charging module on your phone. If still under warranty, get it replaced.

I don't know about the Arkenstone, but the original Stark phone is directional: there is actually a recess in the top left of the docking station barpad foam where the buttons are supposed to rest and as far as I remember, the phone charges only if oriented correctly.

The Arkenstone can only be installed into the cradle one way due to its cradle lock orientation.
