Don had a proper flat-track rear tire on his YZ conversion. I brought three bikes: an SMR on stock 17" Pirellis, an MXR on soft-terrain Kendas, and another MXR on intermediate Bridgestones X30. The intermediate tire was the fastest and most predictable.
