Help with my road trip

I've heard some guys will fasten them to the back of a chest protector. Don't know if I like the sound of that but in a pinch....

That's what my buddies and I do when we venture out to Juniper Dunes in WA State. Cut the flag shaft a bit shorter, stick it in your pack pack/chest protector, secure it however you like. Works good, never got hassled by authorities, not sure how this setup would go over in other areas. If you're detail oriented, figure out how high the flag would be if mounted on your axle block, then figure out how much to cut off and mount in your back pack/chest protector so you end up with the same height flag.
