Is there a way to retieve historical rides that was deleted by mistake?

I was out training at th local enduro loop on my EX the other day, and when I came back, I presume there was a track of the ride in the history on the app.
There are all sorts of short, unimportant "mini" riders in the history (from riding the bike from my workshop to the car, from the car to the workshop, from the car to the track, a short test ride to see if everyting holds up after work in the workshop etc...
I try to delete these short, unimportant rides from history as they appear, to be able to scroll through the "real" rides in a better way.

However, after deleting what I thought to be one of these mini rides, I couldn't find the "real" one! No rides for that particular day. I guess I deleted the wrong ride. Is there a way to get it back? I asked Sam who said unless I had it exported as a GPX file, there is no way.

Any experience to share?
Thanks.

Based on the experience I’ve had with the Stark app it’s gone. At times it feels like the app pushes or downloads some of the data from Stark servers, but that’s just how the app feels based on its behavior, not hard evidence. Even then it’s not guaranteed Stark didn’t delete it from their server side anyway, GDPR and all. If you’re missing the GPX trail itself you can recreate it with gpx.studio — the online GPX file editor and save it to Google Drive so you can reuse it for future rides.

I did a race on Saturday, and the recording from that session is just rubbish. I guess that is why I deleted the previous run as well, it doesn't show up in a way that is recognizable. Is there something I have to adjust / turn on to get correct history ?? Will it disturb the history collection if I turn on/off the bike several times within a short time, without moving the bike?

interesting. I need to take a detailed look at the tracks it records. I havent tested in a competition setting but otherwise it has been good enough. I mostly use it to record the rides and the ones I want to keep I move to gpx.studio for editing.

the main stark app gps issues I’ve seen:
- turning the bike on/off splits the track: ride > turn bike on/off > ride results in two tracks which is a bit annoying
- I had one situation where an entire ride disappeared. At first I thought it was something I did (turning the bike on/off), but the track was also gone for the friends I rode with. That suggests some kind of wider Stark issue and that the tracks likely get synced to a central server (otherwise hard to explain how the same ride would disappear for multiple bikes)

PS! DM me the broken GPX track (or tracks). I can have a quick look if there is something that can be salvaged or if the GPS stopped recording points. Could also be a useful test file for headnorthgps.com (looking for all sorts of use cases, corrupted files, etc)
