First off congratulations to stark for getting a bike out there
now for the review
The delivery process from stark is diabolical
The phone and fuzzy logic is annoying at best
The tubes are nothing but a joke
The brakes are not up to the job (blued the discs first high speed run on the farmgate section )
stark varg 1 54 .7 surron ultra bee 1 57.3
The bike is 10kgs too heavy at least (my main problem with the bike)
The chassis feels like i am riding a 20 year old bike (weight again)
The bike is unusable for mx recharging between practice and races
It does not get through whoops or over big jumps that well either
Needs a swappable battery
The stark has all the advantages of being electric
I love hand operated back brakes
Noise: lack of it
Low maintenance
Pretty much just jump on and ride it (if it doesn't have a flat tyre or stop when there's a software issue)
All in all I think this bike would be better suited to slower cross country type riding
but i wouldn't want to have to pick it up when tired

its not a pissing contest
that was my honest review
i would rather concentrate on the positives
and refining the product
overall it is too heavy
im thinking theres not much room to move
titanium axles bolts swingarm remove some waste
decent tyres and reguler tubes should go pretty fk off

No hate on your honest review. I just think it's good to know what type of rider your are to provide context and comparison for potential buyers.

Reviews vary greatly and very fast riders seem to find more flaws in the bike and certainly burn through power quickly.

I just met someone who's been using his Stark for street riding doing 80mph runs/wheelies and totally abusing the bike. He said he's on his 2nd battery and 3rd motor/transmission. I did ask how his gas bikes held up for comparison, but he said he doesn't abuse them like he does the Stark 😂

My riding is more tame. Just vet C MX. Also got a toddler at home and no time for washing the bike after getting home let alone gas engine maintenance. The bike lets me have more fun, use less energy, and spend less time washing air filters.

True I ride the bike hard(no abuse)
I did test the bike to the max
but no more than my piston bikes or the ultra bee
who do it with a lot less fuss
mainly on my home tracks
I am a lightweight rider so the bike is not quite there for me
getting the balance
5kgs less 12 lbs would make this the best dirt bike ever(off the powertrain battery please)
I ride a 23 husqvarna fc 450, chassis and fit is perfect for me
pity about the bad things that ice bikes bring with them
(I could insert a long list here)
There are things this bike (electric bikes do that no ice bike can)
point to point they are in another league
I have been involved with e vehicles for a long time
and modifying piston engine vehicles forever
evolution should remove the weight problem over time
and i think most of the problems are self fixing teething problems
However the overwhelming problem of this bike is obvious
it is too heavy.(my opinion)
Also the stark varg is the only true mx e bike available(stock quality suspension)
and makes a ridiculous amount of torque with a great price.

Do you really think a rider could feel a difference with TI axles? Because of where the mass is located, I would think the extra weight of switching to standard tubes would far offset the weight savings of the TI components. I agree the bike is heavy but as for myself it is only an issue when picking it up.

My son (19) and I (52) have a stark. I agree with your the only Issue we have is when we fall. That's when the bike feels heavy. (Or Getting it on the stand) When we are moving even at 1mph, it feels like a very low CG. So you don’t feel the weight. I’m 190lbs, he is 135lbs wet (lol)

I need the titanium axles and more to offset
the decent wheels tubes and tyres i am fitting
was more a dig at the joke tubes to be honest
and the rims are pretty much the same
For me the extra 50lbs plus over my fc450 when fully fuelled in race trim
is a negative aspect (i feel the weight every inch it goes)
maybe some marshalls to run out and stand the bike up for me like in moto gp would work
or just dont fall off.
The other thing is i have probably passed riders with more ability than me on the stark
flat track the thing use that torque see you later
I am 66.3kgs with gear
146 lbs

Shit my brother, you sure you weren't a lot lighter because of the weight those titaniums removed from you wallet?🤑

hi chiconnee should i swerve
all i am saying is the weight needs some working on
(quote) this would bring everything into line
preferably not by using party balloons for tubes
the money i saved buying the husky titanium exhaust ill just spend on some jtr wheels tyres and rotors too
Stark Varg Talon Silver Hubs / A60 Black Rims Wheel Set | John Titman Racing | JTR
probably have enough left over to put a left hand rearbrake on the husky
f who knew mick doohan was cheating all those years

apart from that at this stage i would need a smaller battery more bespoke
and able to swap it out during the day.

things change when it is a race.
anyone have a hot brake setup let me know
id like them stronger even for mx.
