Longer mirror brackets

On my SM I literally cannot see over either shoulder with the mirrors in the stock position, so while I can see my blind spots I can't check my six. Has anyone fitted longer mirror brackets to improve visibility to the rear?

I have the same issue on my EX. I have asked @MotoMinded to look into DoubleTake Adventure mirrors. I have them on my DRZ and i really like them.

Have you tried bar-end mirrors? With a little convex to them you can see all the way behind you. CRG are good if you’re not using bark busters. Highwaydirtbikes.com sells super heavy duty bark busters with great fold out mirrors. At this point if I don’t have bar ends I feel like I’m just looking at my shoulders.
