I found a 2018 MXR that I’m considering buying. The owner doesn’t have a key for it. Can anyone give me guidance on having a key made, or replacing the switch.

PM me for a spare key barrel. Your going to have to take the deltawing off and pull the locking clip off.

If he has the tools that came with the bike there may be a spare key with them. I received two keys with my bike and the second key was in the box with the tools.
